SummersRadio™ New Music + Free Download! Retrotation - 'Classical Divine a la Dubstep' Retrotation is the recording moniker of a man named Matt Olick from Easton Pennsylvania. He's only been producing for about a year but has already been featured by radio stations from glitch.fm to BBC Radio! He currently has 10 tracks posted on Soundcloud - and although each once is described differently, the majority of them mix classical music with dubstep - with this particular track tagged as 'divine opera dubstep'! SummersRadio™ Classic! S'Express - 'Theme From S'Express' Like myself you may have recognized the sample in the Moullinex track below from this 1988 club classic - however this isn't where it originated! As Moullinex mentions on Soundcloud 'And yeah, the sample is blatant.. and No, it's not S'Express... ;)' The horn sample is from a song called 'Is It Love You're After' by Rose Royce from their 1979 album called 'Rose Royce IV: Rainbow Connection'. Rose Royce were a soul/ funk band from Los Angeles and are best known for their title track from the 1976 hit movie 'Car Wash'.

The main force behind S'Express was dj/ producer Mark Moore and although this song is based around the Rose Royce sample, it's just one of 15 songs that were sampled in the 'Theme From S'Express'. The song is considered a classic for both it's use of samples and also because it brought the acid house sound to the masses - reaching number 1 on both the U.K. singles and U.S. club charts. Ladytron - 'Ace Of Hz' (Punks Jump Up Remix) I first featured Ladytron's new single 'Ace Of Hz' way back in October when it was first released as part of the FIFA 11 soundtrack. This is my favorite remix of the lot - by London's Punks Jump Up - it starts out with some housey xylophone/ steel drum type sounds but gradually morphs into this disco/ techno hybrid with some cowbell along for the ride... Tiga - 'Love Don't Dance Here Anymore' (C2 Remix 2) Montreal's Tiga has just released his latest EP on itunes for 'Love Don't Dance Here Anymore' which first appeared on his 2009 album 'Ciao!'. The original album version was produced by Soulwax and this EP features 2 new remixes from Detroit techno legend Carl Craig. The original clocked in at a mere 10 minutes long so it's now been extended to over 12 and 13 minutes! There's also an instrumental version available - in case you haven't noticed itunes is a bit weird when it comes to songs over 8 minutes long - most often making them available as full album only purchases. Such is the case here - but it's quite a deal - as the 3 tracks combined are over 36 minutes long and the 'album' price for all three songs is only $1.99! This version is known as the 'C2 Remix 2'... 'Ritual' is their second full length and it's out Monday in the U.K. and Tuesday here in North America. The regular cd contains ten tracks - the itunes download will feature two bonus remixes - although this isn't one of them! This remix will only be available for purchase physically on the limited edition boxed set which contains 2 cd's (one of remixes), six 7" singles and signed artwork!
