Nirvana - 'All Apologies' (Sound Remedy Remix)/ Sound Remedy - 'Life' I suppose it's because I've heard some rather turrible Nirvana remixes in the past, that I wasn't expecting much when I checked out this new remix of 'All Apologies' - but I must say that I'm rather amazed at how good this Sound Remedy remix is!
Like SBTRKT featured yesterday, Sound Remedy embraces a number of musical genres - and strangely also seems to have a fondness for masks! The original song is pretty much intact here - but with the addition of lots of spacey keyboard sounds - and a number of tempo changes - the amazing part is how it all flows together so seamlessly - to put it simply, it works! Nirvana's 'All Apologies' is actually just the first of three 'Remix Potions' that Sound Remedy released online on Friday - he's also remixed tracks from Frank Ocean ('Remix Potion #2') and Wolfgang Gartner ('Remix Potion #3') - the latter being a mashup that features samples from Daft Punk and Steve Jobs! On his Facebook page Sound Remedy has his description listed as 'no genre. Just, Sound Remedy' - I like it when artists are that open minded and refuse to be pigeon-holed. 'Life' is one of his new original songs on the 'Potions' EP and not surprisingly it embraces a number of styles - house, techno, funk, dubstep - and a dash of disco. Once again what makes this song so good is Sound Remedy's ability to stitch everything together so smoothly to create a quality tune that ultimately transcends it's many varied sounds... Enjoy!

Oasis - 'Wonderwall' (Figure Drumstep Edit) So we continue our 500th Post Celebration (feel free to use it as an excuse to get sedated - I am!) with another new remix and free download! Josh Gard aka Figure is a bass music producer from Eerie Indiana. He's just released a favorite from his live sets - his remix of 'Wonderwall' from Oasis.
'Wonderwall' was released as the third single from Oasis' second album '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' in 1995. It's certainly no secret that the band were a fan of the Beatles - and 'Wonderwall' was named after the 1968 film and soundtrack - which was composed by George Harrison.

Daft Punk - 'Aerodynamic' (F.U.N.K.Y Remix) This song is currently soundtracking tonight's amazing sunset at English Bay - it's pefectly funky and chill at the same time! F.U.N.K.Y is a 19 year old electro producer from Lyon France. He's recently made this excellent remix of fellow Frenchmen Daft Punk's 'Aerodynamic' - which was one of the singles from 2001's 'Discovery' album.
SummersRadio™ New Music! Warma - 'Cocaine' (TrockenSaft Remix) Warma is a 'tech & warm house' artist from Kiew Ukraine. 'Cocaine' is his latest single from an EP called 'Dangerous Friend' - which features three versions of 'Cocaine' and a track called 'Melodrama'. It's released on the Russian label KDB Records - which is run by Pasha Joint and Andrey Mute. Pasha Joint is from Minsk in Belarus (which is between the Ukraine and Russia - I looked it up!) and he is aka one half of the duo TrockenSaft - who provide this great remix!

Junior Boys - 'A Truly Happy Ending' (Keljet Remix) Hamilton's 'indie-tronica duo' Junior Boys released their fourth studio album called 'It's All True' earlier this week. It contains nine tracks including the first single 'Banana Ripple' and the original version of this song 'A Truly Happy Ending'.
Keljet are also a duo from Nijmegen Netherlands - that have remixed artists such as Passion Pit, The xx, Scissor Sisters, Faithless and Two Door Cinema Club. He's only been producing for about a year but has already been featured by radio stations from glitch.fm to BBC Radio! He currently has 10 tracks posted on Soundcloud - and although each once is described differently, the majority of them mix classical music with dubstep - with this particular track tagged as 'divine opera dubstep'! It was then remixed by San Francisco dj and producer Cameron Paul, renamed and later added to Salt 'n Pepa's debut 'Hot, Cool & Vicious' in 1987. The album went platinum and made Salt 'n Pepa the first female rap act (group or solo) to ever do so. iamxl is Vancouver dj and producer Jon Hamlin who has remixed artists as diverse as John Lennon, Joy Division, Deadmau5 and the Bloody Beatroots.
