Gary Beck has just released his new full length album called 'Bring A Friend'! 'Skiver' has an ominous feel to it with it's pulsating bass, wavering keyboards and hypnotic vocals - and the production is nothing short of astounding... Enjoy!

Bonus Track! Now I'm not sure if this is the source or not, but the female vocal sample in 'Before The Crash' reminds me of the vocal bits from Size 9's techno/ house classic 'I'm Ready'.
Size 9 is an alias of Philadelphia's Josh Wink who released this massive club hit in 1995 on his own Ovum Recordings label, which he founded with King Britt in '94. This is the 'Remix Version' in it's full unedited (nearly) twelve minutes of glory... Enjoy!

Glasgow's Slam have certainly been prolific lately - it seems like they're releasing a new single or a remix every other week! This week we have a new EP called 'Vespula' released on Sweden's Drumcode label. Hans Bouffmyhre had just released his second single under his new alias Secluded! Glasgow's Bouffmyhre released his debut as Secluded called the 'Dimension' EP on limited 12" vinyl and as a download on London's new EarToGround label. The 'Hidden' EP contains four tracks - the originals plus one remix of the title track and a song called 'Provoke'. Please note that these are label previews - both songs are actually 6:36 - so you get an extra two and a half minutes of awesomeness per tune.

SummersRadio™ New Remix! Paperclip People - 'Throw' (Slam's RTM Remix)
Paperclip People (aka techno legend Carl Craig) have just released a new remix of their club classic 'Throw'! 'Throw' was first released in 1994 in the U.K. on the Open label - with the original version of the song clocking in at over 14 minutes long! You may also know LCD Soundsystem's cover version of it - which was released as a 12" single in 2010 - and included as a bonus track on their 'This Is Happening' album on itunes.
Slam are respectful of the original but punch it up just enough - it's starts out quite similar but you'll feel it kick in deeper around 1:05 in. This is the new 'Slam's RTM Remix' of 'Throw'... Enjoy!

Glasgow's Belle & Sebastian have recorded a new song - a cover of The Primitives indie rock classic 'Crash'! 'Crash' is Belle & Sebestian's exclusive new contribution to the latest installment of the 'Late Night Tales' compilation series - that aims to create the ultimate 'late night' selections. The band are curating the 27th volume - they also compiled the 14th volume which came out in early 2006 - and they're only the second artist (along with Groove Armada) to have been asked to make a second volume so far.
This is Belle and Sebastian's new cover of 'Crash' - it's such a good song that it holds it's own and translates well in this chilled loungy take on it... Enjoy!

Harvey McKay - 'Supercell' (Original Mix)/ Alan Fitzpatrick - 'Running Backwards' (Original Mix) Sweden's finest (and one of the world's finest) techno label(s) Drumcode are celebrating their 15th anniversary with the release of a brand new compilation fittingly titled '15 Years Of Drumcode'. This compilation may not be what one might expect though - it's no greatest hits collection - they're not flogging the past - they're flogging the future! :)
'15 Years Of Drumcode' features 28 tracks - and all of them are brand new! It actually makes sense for a forward thinking label - especially when they're clearly in their prime. Actually after listening to these 28 tracks, this compilation suggests to me that their best is still yet to come. There's no shortage of quality tunes here - I could easily feature this compilation over a few different posts. First up we have Glasgow dj/ producer Harvey McKay with his song called 'Supercell' - the 27th track on the compilation. I totally love the superbly hypntoic production on this one - it reminds me a bit of one of my all time favorite club tunes - Age Of Love's 'Age Of Love'. SummersRadio™ New Compilation! 'Best Of Sleaze Volume 3' Tony Rohr & Tim Xavier 'ACB Experiment' (Gary Beck Remix)/ Monoloc - 'Nohouse' (Original Mix)
Sleaze Records is a techno/ minimal label based in Glasgow Scotland and the U.K. that was started by Stephan Gorrie aka dj/ producer Hans Bouffmyher in 2008. They released their first best of label compilation in 2009, the second in 2010 and the third - featuring some of their finest releases from the past year - just this week!
'Best Of Sleaze Volume 3' features 18 tracks - it's currently available exclusively on Beatport - and it's fairly evenly split between original mixes and remixes. Starting with the first two tracks seems like a fitting introduction - this is the opening track from Tony Rohr & Tim Xavier called the 'ACB Experiment' (Gary Beck Remix)... Enjoy!
