Interpol have just released a new single and video online today called 'All The Rage Back Home'! 'All The Rage Bach Home' is the first single from the band's forthcoming new album (their fifth) called 'El Pintor', which is released September 8th on Matador Records. 'El Pintor' is Spanish for 'the painter' and it's also an anagram for Interpol.
'All The Rage Back Home' is rousing rocker that finds them sounding rather R.E.M.-ish (when they were still good). It begins quietly but you'll soon be singing along to the 'Hey hey hey's'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music/ Video! Death From Above 1979 - 'Trainwreck 1979' (Official Lyrics Video)
A funny thing happened in the music world yesterday - sites from around the world from NME to Stereogum were all posting the new Death From Above 1979 single. The thing is that they all provided the very same BBC link to listen to it - where the song didn't even have a bloody play button! However about an hour ago the band posted a proper Youtube link on Facebook to this somewhat clever lyrics video so we can now all give it a proper listen.

'Trainwreck 1979' has a lot riding on it - as it's been a ten year wait since the band 's debut album 'You're A Woman, I'm A Machine' and eight years since their rather surprising breakup in 2006. Unkle has just released a new song and video online called 'Worship'! 'Worship' is part of a release called 'Erebus' - the soundtrack to a fourteen minute film made by Warren Du Preez & Nick Thornton Jones - who have previously worked with Bjork and Massive Attack. The soundtrack is by James Lavelle and it also features Emiliana Torrini and Philip Sheppard.

SummersRadio™ New Cover/ Video! School Of Seven Bells - 'I Got Knocked Down (But I'll Get Up)'
School Of Seven Bells have released a new song and video online called 'I Got Knocked Down (But I'll Get Up)'! The song is a cover of the track written by Joey Ramone from his posthumous 2002 album 'Don't Worry About Me'. The cover is the last song that School Of Seven Bells member Benjamin Curtis worked on before he died from lymphoma in December of last year - and it's available now on iTunes. http://smarturl.it/sviibknockdown
Benjamin Curtis kept working on recording music on his laptop while he was in the hospital and the other half of the duo - Alejandra de la Deheza - plans to finish the recording and release a new album. This version is quite different from Joey Ramone's original - it has a dreamy, surreal New Order-ish feel to it.
The video is currently premiering on Youtube exclusively by Culture Collide - and for this reason the video is not yet available to embed here on our blog. When/ if it becomes available I will post it, but for now we can only provide the link - but it's more than worth the extra click to check this one out - the video is a beautiful tribute to Curtis... SummersRadio™ New Video! Max Cooper - 'Seething' (Official Video)
Max Cooper has released a new video online for his song 'Seething'! 'Seething' is from his debut studio album called 'Human' which was released in March on Fields Records and it's available on iTunes.
In addition to being a musician, the London artist/ producer also has a Ph.D. in computational biology. The 'Seething' video was created by Andy Lomas who is a CGI specialist that has worked on both 'Avatar' and 'The Matrix' - and he's a mathematician.
The video features cellular forms "which uses digital simulation of a simplified biological model of morphogenesis, with three-dimensional structures generated out of interconnected particles to represent cells." You can learn more about Andy Lomas' work here: http://www.andylomas.com/

Although it's new in the previously unreleased sense, the origin of 'I'm Less Here' may date as far back as 1996 - as the song references 'Among My Swan' - also the name of their third album.

SummersRadio™ New Video! The Notwist - 'Kong' (Official Video)
The Notwist have just released a new video online for their latest single 'Kong'! We featured 'Kong' just a few weeks ago (http://summersradio.blogspot.ca/2014/01/summersradio-new-music-notwist.html) but the video is cool so I thought I'd post it also. I have recurring dreams like in the video - when water levels go halfway up high rises.
Their new album 'Close To The Glass' is out on February 24th. The band have just announced a number of North American tour dates this summer - including shows at Lee's Palace in Toronto on June 12th and they'll be at the Sasquatch Music Festival in George, Washington on the July 4th weekend.
This new animated video is directed by Yu Sato and it features a very thirsty Kong... Enjoy!
