SummersRadio™ New Video! The Notwist - 'Kong' (Official Video)
The Notwist have just released a new video online for their latest single 'Kong'! We featured 'Kong' just a few weeks ago (http://summersradio.blogspot.ca/2014/01/summersradio-new-music-notwist.html) but the video is cool so I thought I'd post it also. I have recurring dreams like in the video - when water levels go halfway up high rises.
Their new album 'Close To The Glass' is out on February 24th. The band have just announced a number of North American tour dates this summer - including shows at Lee's Palace in Toronto on June 12th and they'll be at the Sasquatch Music Festival in George, Washington on the July 4th weekend.
This new animated video is directed by Yu Sato and it features a very thirsty Kong... Enjoy!

The Notwist have released a new single online called 'Kong'! 'Kong' is the first single from the German indie rock band's forthcoming new album (their eighth) called 'Close To The Glass'. 'Close To The Glass' will feature twelve new tracks and it will be released on Sub Pop on February 24th.

SummersRadio™ New Music! Dum Dum Girls - 'Lost Boys And Girls Club'
Dum Dum Girls have just released a new song and video online called 'Lost Boys And Girls Club'! 'Lost Boys And Girls Club' is the first new song to surface from the New York based band's forthcoming third album which is due out in January on Sub Pop Records.
The video for "Lost Boys And Girls Club' was made with some help from the Swedish worldwide clothing company H & M. It's the first video in a new series from H & M Life that will see the company working with young and developing artists from around the world.
'Lost Boys And Girls Club' is our first glimpse into what the new album might sound like which vocalist Dee Dee described in a recent interview with Stereogum (http://www.stereogum.com/1540451/progress-report-dum-dum-girls/franchises/progress-report/) '

The Postal Service have just released their second new song online called 'Turn Around'! 'Turn Around' is one of two new songs included on the Tenth Anniversary Deluxe Reissue of the duo's only album 'Give Up'. SummersRadio™ New Video! Beach House - 'Wishes' (Official Video)
Baltimore dream pop duo Beach House have just released a new video for their latest single 'Wishes'! 'Wishes' is the fourth single released from their album 'Bloom' which came out last spring on Sub Pop.
The video is a surreal mockery of half time shows that are always trying to upstage themselves. It features actor Ray Wise as the coach/ vocalist who's starred in 'Twin Peaks' and more recently 'Mad Men' and it's directed by Eric Wareheim of 'Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job!' fame - so you know it's going to be twisted... Dum Dum Girls have just released a new song online called 'Lord Knows'! 'Lord Knows' is the first single from a new EP called 'End Of Daze' which will be released on September 25th on Sub Pop.
The EP features five tracks including a cover of 80's female duo Strawberry Switchblade's 'Trees And Flowers'. 'End Of Daze' (like both of their full length albums) was produced by Richard Gottehrer - who's great body of work includes producing the debut albums for two of my all time favorite bands - Blondie and The Go-Go's!

Baltimore's Beach House are releasing 'Lazuli' as the next single from their forthcoming new album called 'Bloom'! "Lazuli' is also being released as a limited edition blue vinyl 7" single for Record Store Day - which is this Saturday the 21st!

SummersRadio™ New Music + Free Download! Dum Dum Girls - 'Coming Down' The Dum Dum Girls are an all female four piece band from Los Angeles, led by singer/ songwriter Kristen Grunded aka Dee Dee. They released their debut album called 'I Will Be' on Seattle's Sub Pop Records last March. It was produced by Richard Gottehrer - who is responsible for producing the debut albums from Blondie and the Go-Go's. The Dum Dum Girls are a bit darker sounding than those two bands - they've cited The Ronettes, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Jesus & Mary Chain and Mazzy Star as major influences.
Dum Dum Girls are set to release their second album called 'Only In Dreams' in September. The album is preceded by the tragic passing of her mother last October, who was suffering from brain cancer. Dee Dee describes this difficult period thusly: 'It was really hard to figure out how to balance the opportunity of having a record out on Sub Pop and wanting to tour, and then feeling really awful for not staying home and just quitting music for the year. Our next record, as much as I really love the songs, is definitely a dark record.'
