SummersRadio™ New Music/ Video! Unkle - 'Worship' (Official Video)
Unkle has just released a new song and video online called 'Worship'! 'Worship' is part of a release called 'Erebus' - the soundtrack to a fourteen minute film made by Warren Du Preez & Nick Thornton Jones - who have previously worked with Bjork and Massive Attack. The soundtrack is by James Lavelle and it also features Emiliana Torrini and Philip Sheppard.
'Erebus' is released on very limited (just 150 copies) 180 gram white vinyl which is also hand signed and numbered - and it can be ordered here for a mere 100 (!) pounds: http://www.vfeditions.com/product/view/166
The video for 'Worship' is quite beautiful - Du Preez and Thornton Jones mix live action footage with 3D particle exploration and animation to create a "living, moving master painting"... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Remix! Radkey - 'Romance Dawn' (Unkle Reconstruction)
Unkle have just released a new remix online! James Lavelle aka Unkle has posted a remix of Radkey's single 'Romance Dawn' on Soundcloud.
Radkey are a punk trio (three teenage brothers) from St. Joseph, Missouri. The original version of 'Romance Dawn' is from their 2013 EP called 'Devil Fruit' which is available on iTunes.

There's no word yet on when this 'Unkle Reconstruction' of 'Romance Dawn' will be available commercially - but hopefully it's soon because I want to buy a copy chop-chop! Lavelle transforms the punk rock original into a techno monsterpiece... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Remix! Unkle featuring Nick Cave - 'Money And Run' (16 Bit Lolitas Remix)
Amsterdam duo 16 Bit Lolitas have just released a new album featuring a new remix of Unkle's track with Nick Cave called 'Money And Run'! 'Supermarkt' features twelve tracks - ten new 16 Bit Lolitas originals plus this remix - as well as a full 73 minute continuous mix. The original version of 'Money And Run' featuring the vocals of Nick Cave was first released on an Unkle EP called 'Only The Lonely' and on a special edition of their 'Where Did The Night Fall' album called 'Where Did The Night Fall - Another Night Out' in April of last year.
16 Bit Lolitas transform the driving guitar based indie rock track into a nine minute dark electronic epic reminiscent of Underworld during their amazing 'Dubnobasswithmyheadman' period... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Classic! Unkle - 'Heavy Drug' (Surrender Sounds Mix) Rare is it that I would call a song a classic that was less than a year and a half old - but this one is! 'Heavy Drug' was the first single released from Unkle's 'Where Did The Night Fall' album. This version was first available online last summer so I did not tag it under the 'Best Of 2010' although one could perhaps argue that it's eligible - as the song does appear on the album released in May - although in a ridiculously short form (1:13)! Also the full 'Heavy Drug' EP with multiple remixes came out on Dec. 27th of last year - by which time most year end lists have already been published. Semantics aside, I wanted to post it for those who haven't heard this version yet - it's 8 plus minutes of electronic - and if you choose to do so - dancing bliss... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ Best Of 2010! Unkle Featuring The Black Angels - 'Natural Selection' Unkle released their fifth proper studio album 'Where Did The Night Fall' in May. 'Natural Selection' was the second single - and as is often the case with Unkle, the album features a number of collaborations - this one with The Black Angels. While the song is more about the hunt for love, this video by L.A. director Isaac Klotz centers around the hunt for food. It gives me a craving for a zebra burger - with cheese of course! Naturally I jest... they probably taste the same as pony anyway - Enjoy!
