Danish producer Sivesgaard has released a new rework of Tears For Fears 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World' online! 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World' was first released in 1985 as the first single (in North America) from the band's massive 'Songs From The Big Chair' album.

                    

This rework by Sivesgaard adds a bit of acid into the mix - and I like the build around one minute in. Belgium's Tom Hades and Denmark's Soren Aalberg have just released a new EP called 'Alphabet'! The 'Alphabet EP' features three tracks - 'Pink, Duim, Wijsvinger', the original mix of title track, plus a remix of it from Stanny Franssen. 'Pink, Duim, Wijsvinger' is the first song on the EP and like yesterday's post from Dax J it's multi-layered fantastically produced monster of a tune... Enjoy!



'Alphabet' is the title track - which recites the alphabet (with some trippy vocal effects of course) over a great hypnotic groove.  Now that may seem simplistic at first - but interestingly it got me thinking back to a time when I was learning it - it's just funny to think that we were once so small. And hey if you know any toddlers you could play this when they're around to help educate them - they could subliminally learn and practice the alphabet - whilst you turn them on to awesome techno at the same time... Denmark's René Kristensen aka Noir has just released his latest EP called 'Found Out' this week! 'Found Out' features the vocals of Berlin's Richard Davis - and the six track EP includes the original title track - as well as two remixes from Deetron, two from Tiefschwarz, and a 'Club Re-rub'. 'Found Out' is a full on vocal track, but it's actually 'Deetron's Sunshower Dub' remix that is most to my liking - he removes the words but keeps just enough trippy vocal effects. This brings the music right upfront - the acoustic intro sets an air of mystery that steadily builds up to a journey through a higher state of consciousness... Enjoy!

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour - 'Major'/ 'The Golden Age' (Justice Remix) Denmark's Asteroids Galaxy Tour have just released their new single from their forthcoming second album online! The song is called 'Major' and it's from their new album called 'Out Of Frequency' which is due for release on January 31st 2012.

Copenhagen's Asteroids Galaxy Tour centres around the duo of alluring singer Mette Lindberg and producer Lars Iversen - that expands to a six piece band when on tour. They released their first album called 'Fruit' in 2009. Two of the singles from the album - 'The Golden Age' and 'Around The Bend' have received wide exposure from being used in a number of tv commercials - most notably for Heineken and itunes respectively.

SummersRadio™ New Remix! M83 - 'Midnight City' (Trentemoller Remix) M83 have just announced today that they're releasing a remix EP for their latest single 'Midnight City'! We first featured M83's new single back in July: http://summersradio.blogspot.com/2011/07/summersradio-new-music-free-download_20.html 

The 'MIdnight City' EP will be released digitally on September 26th and it will feature four remixes - one each from Trentemoller, Big Black Delta, Man Without Country and Team Ghost. SummersRadio™ New Music! Mason featuring Roisin Murphy - 'Boadicea' (Mason's Battle Scarred Mix) So I wanted one of today's posts to be from someone Irish - and also be something that was new - and of course quality - and I found exactly what I was looking for! While Mason are a Dutch duo this track features the vocals of Roisin Murphy - the Irish singer who was formerly one half of Moloko - who has also released two solo albums and collaborated with a number of other artists including Crookers, David Byrne & Fatboy Slim, Boris Dlugosh and Tony Christie. 

'Boadicea' has just been released on Mason's own Animal Language label - which they started in 2008 - with a whopping 9 remixes! I like this one by Mason themselves - it starts off innocently enough - and before you know it, it transforms into a chunky Giorgio Moroder style disco number... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Rarity! Underworld - 'Second Hand' Underworld's 'Second Hand' first appeared as a b-side in 1994 - released only in Germany and Denmark! It was originally titled 'Thing In A Book' - clocking in at 20:14! It was the second song on the 6 track Danish cd for 'Dark & Long' and it was also released on the two part German 12" for 'Dark & Long' - listed as 'Dark & Long' (Thing In A Book Mix). It was then re-edited and shortened down to 9 minutes long - and retitled 'Second Hand' when it was released on the very first Cafe Del Mar compilation, which also came out in 1994. If you're able to hunt it down, I highly recommend the Danish 'Dark & Long' cd on April Records - at over 72 minutes long it's almost like a full length remix cd! This is one of Underworld's lesser known but finest songs... Enjoy!

They've toured with Interpol and The National and they cite the Beach Boys, Sonic Youth - and one of my all time favorites Grandaddy - as musical influences!
