Amsterdam's Bart Skils has just released a new EP called 'Midnight Moving' today! 'Midnight Moving' is an interesting mix of 70's disco, 80's synth pop, 90's house, 00's Electroclash, and whatever it is you call this decade we're in techno! I've listened to both versions numerous times trying to decide which mix is most to my liking and it's too close to call, so I'm posting both. I think I'll buy both versions and then and play them back to back so the song is a 13 and a half minute time warp of hypnotic synths and good times... Enjoy!

Amsterdam duo 16 Bit Lolitas have just released a new album featuring a new remix of Unkle's track with Nick Cave called 'Money And Run'! 'Supermarkt' features twelve tracks - ten new 16 Bit Lolitas originals plus this remix - as well as a full 73 minute continuous mix. The original version of 'Money And Run' featuring the vocals of Nick Cave was first released on an Unkle EP called 'Only The Lonely' and on a special edition of their 'Where Did The Night Fall' album called 'Where Did The Night Fall - Another Night Out' in April of last year.
16 Bit Lolitas transform the driving guitar based indie rock track into a nine minute dark electronic epic reminiscent of Underworld during their amazing 'Dubnobasswithmyheadman' period... Enjoy!

Amsterdam's Bart Skils has just released a new EP called 'All About The Music' this week! 'All About The Music' is a two track EP featuring the original mixes of the title track and a song called 'Everything Just Dark'. SummersRadio™ New Music! Nicky Romero - 'Generation 303' (Original Mix)
Nicky Romero is a dj/ producer from Amsterdam who's released a massive new acid techno single called 'Generation 303'! 'Generation 303' is a one track single released on the Musical Freedom label - with the title referring to the Roland TB-303 synthesizer that was manufactured in the early 80's and responsible for the infamous 'acid' sound.
The song also features a sample of Schooly D's 1989 track called 'Gucci Again' which is perhaps most recognized in electronic circles as the sample used for the Chemical Brothers 1997 hit 'Block Rockin' Beats' - this is 'Generation 303'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Bart Skils - 'Dust' Bart Schils aka Bart Skils is a Dutch dj/ producer/ promoter from Amsterdam. He's just released a new two track EP called 'Dust/ Santiago' on Christian Smith's Tronic label today! Now you may recognize the vocal sample used in 'Dust' - although it sounds like a possibly crazy person like Nick Nolte or even Jack Nicholson from some movie - it's actually from another song called 'So Get Up' by Portuguese duo Underground Sound Of Lisbon (who are also responsible for another underground classic from NYLX that I posted last November http://summersradio.blogspot.com/2010/11/summersradio-classic-nylx-feat-lula.html).
'So Get Up' features lyrics by Korvorwong aka Darin Pappas - who is now more commonly known as artist/ musician Ithaka. The song was first released in 1993 as a b-side and then properly as an a-side single in 1994. I will post the original as well as it deserves props but you may also recognize the sample from other sources - including as the intro for Miss Kittin's 'Radio Caroline Vol. 1' mix cd in 2003, and sampled in Stretch & Vern's 1997 hit 'Get Up! Go Insane!'. It's also been sampled in several other songs - as an acapella version was included on the 1994 single.
Although the sample may be familiar, Bart Skils track 'Dust' sounds fresh for 2011 due to the wicked groove he's created to accompany it... Enjoy!

The Underground Sound Of Lisbon was a collaboration between Rui da Silva aka Doctor J and DJ Vibe. A tenth anniversary edition of 'So Get Up' was released in 2004 featuring 8 mixes - including remixes by Danny Tenaglia, Junior Vasquez, Eric Kupper and others. I still like the acid house feel of the original version - here's the 'Original Mix' of 'So Get Up' from the Underground Sound Of Lisbon featuring the spoken word lyrics of (and written by) Ithaka... SummersRadio™ New Remixes! Tom Wax - 'It's Our Future' (The Updates 2011) Germany's Thomas Wedel aka Tom Wax and his friend Thorsten Adler formed AWeX in 1994. In 1995 their song 'It's Our Future' acheived huge success and became the anthem of Berlin's annual Love Parade and an acid techno classic!
This week Tom Wax has just released a new EP for the song on the Great Stuff Recordings label featuring four new remixes! The remixes include 'The Update Original Mix', the 'Tube & Berger Remix' - and these two are my favorites of the bunch. First up we have the remix by Amsterdam's DJ Madskillz... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Mark Fanciulli - 'The Tide' (Joris Voorn Edit) Nic Fanciulli, Mark Fanciulli (both from Maidstone England) and Joris Voorn (from Amsterdam) have just released a new EP called 'Together'. It's released on the Rejected Music label which was started by Joris Voorn and has two tracks. The title track is a collaboration between Nic Fanciulli and Joris Voorn and the b-side as it were is a track called 'The Tide' from Nic's brother Mark - which is remixed by Joris!
This is my favorite of the two tracks - 'The Tide'. It doesn't have a lot of lyrics, but they are interesting - contemplating the power of Mother Nature - and ourselves a bit too... Enjoy!

They've just released their latest single called 'Gattaca' on the Amsterdam based label 100% Pure. Yasmin Le Bon - 'Voice Within' (Original Mix) Yasmin Le Bon (who incidentally, is not related to the vocalist of the band posted below - nor is she a supermodel) has just released a new three song EP called 'Love Is Not A Possession'. This Yasmin Le Bon was born in the Netherlands and is currently signed to Amsterdam's Sneakerz Muzik label - she is in fact the first female dj/ producer signed to the label! SummersRadio™ Best Of 2010! Goldfrapp - 'Believer' (Joris Voorn Remix) London duo Goldfrapp released their fifth studio album called 'Head First' in March. 'Believer' was released as the third single in September along with seven new remixes - including this one from Amsterdam based Dutch dj and producer Joris Voorn. This driving hypnotic remix reminds me a bit of Crystal Waters 1993 house classic '100% Pure Love'... Enjoy!
