I mentioned Dot Allison in yesterday's Reighnbeau post - who first came to fame as the vocalist for the Scottish trio One Dove, who released just one monumental full length album in 1993. 'Morning Dove White' was produced by Andrew Weatherall and Stephen Hague - I consider it to be a comedown classic.

SummersRadio™ New Music! Primal Scream - '2013' (Weatherall Remix)/ '2013' (Full Length Official Video)
Primal Scream have just released a new song online called '2013'! '2013' is the first song to surface from their forthcoming new album (their tenth) called 'More Light' which will be released on May 13th.
'2013' will be released physically as a three track twelve inch single on April 8th that features this remix by Andrew Weatherall, along with a 'Weatherall Dub' version (no info yet on the digital release). The band seems to be in rock mode here - as opposed to some of their more industrial and electronic sounding releases... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Remix! The Twilight Sad - 'Not Sleeping' (Tom Furse Dub Mix)
The Twilight Sad have just released a new remix online today! The Twilight Sad are an indie rock trio from Scotland that released their third album called 'No One Can Ever Know' (featuring production assistance from Andrew Weatherall) on the Fat Cat label in February. On November 5th they are releasing 'No One Can Ever Know - The Remixes' which will be available on both cd and vinyl as well as a digital download. It features nine tracks - three remixes of 'Sick' and two each of 'Nil', 'The Alphabet', and 'Not Sleeping' - from the likes of Liars, Com Truise and Breton.
The band have just released this remix of 'Not Sleeping' by Tom Furse from The Horrors to both Stereogum and Rolling Stone online today - and as a free download! SummersRadio™ Special Anniversary! My Bloody Valentine - 'Blown A Wish'/ 'Soon' (Andrew Weatherall Remix) Today, November 4th marks the 20th anniversary of the release of My Bloody Valentine's 'Loveless' album! Surprisingly there are no anniversary editions being released, but the greatness of said release shall not go unnoticed here at SummersRadio™. As shown in the previous post for Sleeping Bags, the shozegaze sound (thankfully) is still influencing new bands today.
'Loveless' didn't come easy though - it took two years to record - taxing the finances of their label Creation Records. It was never a huge seller, but critics and fans alike have been praising it for a full two decades now. This is one of my favorite tracks from 'Loveless' - as I like the spacious drifting romantic feel to it - this is 'Blown A Wish'... Enjoy!
Bonus Track! Rare Remix! My Bloody Valentine - 'Soon' (Andrew Weatherall Remix) Although 'Soon' was included on the 'Loveless' album it was first released on the 'Glider EP' which came out the previous year. This rare club friendly remix (complete with cowbell action) by Andrew Weatherall was only released on the second 12" single (the 'Glider EP Remixes' 12") in the U.K. - Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Remix! Trentemoller - 'Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!!' (Trentemoller Remix) Denmark's Anders Trentemoller has just released 'Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!!' as the third single off his second studio album 'Into The Great Wide Yonder', which was released in May. The EP includes the album version and 3 remixes - from Andrew Weatherall, Lulu Rouge and Abdullah S, and this one from Trentemoller himself! This mix is like half a century of styles in one song - it's part 60's surf music, with 70's Giorgio Moroder style disco, 80's industrial, and 90's indie dance rock - all brought into the 21st century... SummersRadio™ Classic! Primal Scream - 'Higher Than The Sun' (A Dub Symphony In Two Parts) This is an interesting fan made video for this track wonderfully produced by Andrew Weatherall from 'Screamadelica' - it doesn't feature the band at all - it's mostly clips from other artists videos such as Kate Bush, Radiohead and Blur to name a few. It's an odd idea on paper but they're all cool artists and they're mostly trippy visuals so it actually works... Enjoy!
