SummersRadio™ New Remix! Age Of Love - 'Age Of Love' (Tim Schroeder Remix)
One of my all time favourite club tunes - 'Age Of Love' - is being remixed for 2014! Tiger Records are releasing a new remix of 'Age Of Love' by Age Of Love in the new year. The scheduled date is yet to be released - however they have posted a reasonably lengthy preview (five and a half minutes - yay!) on Soundcloud as a delicious taster.
The aforementioned post has become one of the most viewed SummersRadio™ blog posts ever thanks in part to a picture I included - if you search for 'high cat' on Google the post shows up! So although it's a coincidence it seems fitting that one of my all time favourite club tunes is also one of the most viewed!
So there's no word yet on how many remixes are forthcoming - whether there's more than one or not - but you can get a good feel of the 'Tim Schroeder Remix' from this clip... Enjoy!

Melbourne's Philosophy Of Sound have just released a new remix of their song 'Freedom, What For?' online today! The duo first released 'Freedom, What For?' in March, 2012 on the Portugal label Discotexas - which was founded by Moullinex and Xinobi.
'Freedom, What For?' features some interesting commentary on modern society - and this new disco fuelled remix from John Salmon aka DJ Amplifier has been released on Soundcloud as a free download just in time for New Year's Eve parties!
SummersRadio™ New Video! Donna Summer - 'Love To Love You Baby' (Giorgio Moroder Featuring Chris Cox Remix)/ Donna Summer - 'I Feel Love' (Afrojack Remix)
A new video has been released online for the new 'Giorgio Moroder Remix' of Donna Summer's classic single 'Love To Love You Baby'! The remix is of course from the 'Love To Love You Donna' remix album which came out in October on Verve Records.
'Love To Love You Baby' was first released as the title track to Donna Summer's 1975 album and it later became one of the first disco hits to be released in an extended form - a seventeen minute sexual odyssey that became a massive club hit.
The original was produced by Giorgio Moroder - as is the new remix for 2013 - with some help from Chris Cox. This colourful new video is a nice tribute to both Donna Summer and a classic song newly remixed... Enjoy!
Bonus Track! Donna Summer -'I Feel Love' (Afrojack Remix) I wanted to feature this new remix when it first came out in October - but the only shareable clip was footage from a Creamfields show that just didn't seem to fit the song very well. Paris's Bruno Sacco has just released a new remix EP for his song 'Deformed'! 'Deformed' was first released in April 2012 - the first 12" vinyl release on his own new label Gravite Records. The 'Deformed Rmxs' EP features five new remixes and it's once again out on Gravite Records.
This is the first track on the EP - the 'Franck Valat Remix' - and it's a mysterious intergalactic journey featuring a parade of wonderful sounds... Enjoy!
The title of yesterday's Scan X song (for 'Sensorium') reminded me of this classic 1984 underground club hit from Cabaret Voltaire - 'Sensoria'! Cabaret Voltaire were an experimental electronic/ industrial band from Sheffield, England. They released their first album in 1979 - 'Sensoria' was first included on their 1984 album called 'Micro-Phonies'.
'Sensoria' features amazing production - and I reckon it still sounds fantastic nearly 30 years on. This is the rather trippy original video in high quality - for the '12" Extended Mix'... Enjoy!

Brazil's Bruno Be has just released a new remix of Peter Bjorn & John's indie pop hit 'Young Folks' online! 'Young Folks' was originally released as the first single from the Swedish band's third album called 'Writers Block' in 2006, and it features guest vocalist Victoria Bergsman.

David Bowie has just released a new video online for his song 'I'd Rather Be High'! The 'Venetian Mix' will be released on limited edition white vinyl as the b-side to the previously featured(http://summersradio.blogspot.ca/2013/11/summersradio-new-video-remix-david.html) 'Hello Steve Reich Mix by James Murphy for the DFA'of 'Love Is Lost'.
The vinyl version will be released on December 16th and the 'Venetian Mix' is also available now on 'The Next Day Extra' EP on both cd and download.
The new video for 'I'd Rather Be High' (Venetian Mix - Wasted Edit) is directed by London graphic designer/ director Tom Hingston and it features some nicely synched up stock footage and special effects... Enjoy!
XXYYXX (sometimes xxyyxx) has just released a new song online called 'Chaser'! Well technically it's not new per se - but previously unreleased. XXYYXX aka Marcel Everett is a young artist\ producer (he just turned 18 on Halloween) from Orlando who's released two albums and a couple singles thus far.
He just posted 'Chaser' on Soundcloud today as a tribute to two friends (twins) celebrating their birthday - and it's an apt tribute as the song includes several sounds recorded in their own backyard!
'Chaser' is a very pleasant mix of ambient passages and spacious Stoner House™... Enjoy!

London dj/producer Jett has just released a new remix of Radiohead's 'Talk Show Host' online! 'Talk Show Host' first appeared as the b-side to Radiohead's 1995 single 'Street Spirt (Fade Out)', and a remix by Nellee Hooper was included on the soundtrack to 'Romeo + Juliette' the following year.
Modernphase has released a new remix of the Eagles classic 'Hotel California' online! The dj/ producer Modernphase aka Kali is from Badajoz, Spain. 'Hotel California' was originally released as a single from the Eagles album of the same name in the spring of 1977.
