Primal Scream have just released another new song online called 'It's Alright, It's Ok'!
'It's Alright, It's Ok' is the second song that the band have posted online from their forthcoming new album called 'More Light' which will be released on May 13th on the Ignition Records label.
Earlier this month the band released the first song from 'More Light' called '2013' which also featured a remix by Andrew Weatherall which you can revisit here: http://summersradio.blogspot.ca/2013/03/summersradio-new-music-remix-primal.html
While '2013' has a more straight ahead rock feel to it, 'It's Alright, It's Ok' is a melting pot of styles - blues, soul, gospel and folk - and it wouldn't sound out of place floating alongside tracks from their classic masterpiece 'Screamadelica'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Primal Scream - '2013' (Weatherall Remix)/ '2013' (Full Length Official Video)
Primal Scream have just released a new song online called '2013'! '2013' is the first song to surface from their forthcoming new album (their tenth) called 'More Light' which will be released on May 13th.
'2013' will be released physically as a three track twelve inch single on April 8th that features this remix by Andrew Weatherall, along with a 'Weatherall Dub' version (no info yet on the digital release). The band seems to be in rock mode here - as opposed to some of their more industrial and electronic sounding releases... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! CSS featuring Bobby Gillespie - 'Hits Me Like A Rock' Brazil's CSS (which is short for Cansei de Ser Sexy and means "got tired of being sexy" in Portuguese) have just released their new single! It's called 'Hits Me Like A Rock' and it features guest vocals from Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie. It's the first single from their forthcoming third album called 'La Liberacion' which is due for release on August 29th. The album contains 11 tracks including one called 'Red Alert' which is a collaboration with Ratatat. This is the rather summery sounding 'Hits Me Like a Rock'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! AutoKratz - 'Opposite Of Love' (Les Petits Pilous Remix) AutoKratz are a London based duo that are releasing their new EP called 'Opposite Of Love' on January 24th! It's the first single from the band's forthcoming second album called 'Self Help For Beginners' coming out on the Bad Life label in March - and the album will feature collaborations with Jagz Kooner and Primal Scream. This remix is from another duo - from France - called Les Petits Pilous... Enjoy!

Primal Scream - 'Come Together' Primal Scream have just announced that they will be releasing a 20th Anniversary Edition of their seminal 1991 album 'Screamadelica' - and it will be remastered by the band and My Bloody Valentine's Kevin Shields! This is one of my top five favorite albums of all time so this is pretty exciting news!
The regular version of 'Screamadelica 20' will be 2 discs - the second disc consisting of the 'Dixie Narco' EP. There's also going to be an elaborate collector's edition available that will come with four remastered cd's and a gatefold vinyl release of their 'Live In L.A. 1992' recording. Also included is a remastered version of their 'Dixie Narco' EP and best of all a cd of remixes!! And if that's not enough there will also be a dvd documentary called 'The Making Of Screamadelica' and a 50 page book, a 12" slipmat featuring the cover art, a tour t-shirt and 5 art cards. It also includes a brand new car! Ok maybe not the car, but wow! There's a limited 'White Box' edition available from the band - limited to 500 copies - and the first 100 will be signed by the band! The heartbreaking part is that they're not making it available to fans in North America for some reason - sob!
