SummersRadio™ Music News + Classic Mashup! DJ Schmolli - 'Justice For Billie Jean' Today's big music news comes from Parisian duo Justice's Facebook page! They announced today that they're releasing their new single on April 4th! The song is called 'Civilization' from their as yet untitled forthcoming second album. Any audio posts of the song to Youtube and Soundcloud today have been quickly deleted on behalf of their label Because Music/ Ed Banger Records. Naturally I will post the song when it's possible to do so - but in the meantime here's a classic mashup by Austrian DJ Schmolli - of Michael Jackson's 'Bille Jean' and Justice's 'D.A.N.C.E' - with a dash of C&C Music Factory. SummersRadio™ Rarity! Underworld - 'Second Hand' Underworld's 'Second Hand' first appeared as a b-side in 1994 - released only in Germany and Denmark! It was originally titled 'Thing In A Book' - clocking in at 20:14! It was the second song on the 6 track Danish cd for 'Dark & Long' and it was also released on the two part German 12" for 'Dark & Long' - listed as 'Dark & Long' (Thing In A Book Mix). It was then re-edited and shortened down to 9 minutes long - and retitled 'Second Hand' when it was released on the very first Cafe Del Mar compilation, which also came out in 1994. If you're able to hunt it down, I highly recommend the Danish 'Dark & Long' cd on April Records - at over 72 minutes long it's almost like a full length remix cd! This is one of Underworld's lesser known but finest songs... Enjoy!

Juan Deigo Mendoza is a dj/ producer from Colombia - as is Johan Dresser - and this collaboration is called 'Pokus Lokus' - I like the trippy keyboard bits that first appear about 2 minutes in - then how it slows down about 3 minutes in - and then when the keyboard sounds come back moreso at about 3:30... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Chemical Brothers - 'The Devil Is In The Beats' This is the fourth track on the 20 song score to the 'Hanna' soundtrack which is released exclusively on itunes this coming Tuesday. The film (which opens on April 8th) was shot in Bavaria, Morocco, Berlin, and Finland. Director Joe Wright cites David Lynch as a major influence and he says that 'it's not a typical action movie' rather more of a 'fairytale action movie drama'. 'It's quite a dark film in a couple of ways' he adds. This song sounds like it might be featured in one of the more upbeat surreal portions of the film - but with a title like 'The Devil Is In The Beats' - I can only speculate... Enjoy!
