SummersRadio™ New Music! DJ Fronter - 'I Do Not Understand' (Original Mix)
Jumping Jehoshaphats! There sure have been a lot of amazing trippy techno/ electronic songs released in the last couple weeks - and today we have another one!
DJ Fronter is an artist/ producer from Cali, Colombia who's just released a new EP called 'ADN'. The EP features two tracks - the title track and this song called 'I Do Not Understand'. It's released on Umek's 1065 Music Therapy label and it's currently available exlcusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/#release/adn-ep/939923
As is the case more often than one might think it's the b-side on the 'ADN' EP that is most to my liking. I concur with the label's description of the track - "I Do Not Understand" is the equivalent of a sonic monster, with pitched vocals over a sharp rhythm section. Meanwhile, an aggressive bassline and constant rises kick things up a notch or three."
The cover art is also intriguing as always - it looks a bit like a headless horse - EEP! Enjoy...!

SummersRadio™ Rare Remix! E.L.O.!
SummersRadio™ Rare Remix! Electric Light Orchestra - 'Last Train To London' (House de la Funk Remix)
As noted in yesterday's Chemical Brothers post it seems that people are bringing E.L.O. back - from Boston's Magnetic Fields to Manchester's Coronation Street - or at least some people in their respective crews are :) So I thought I'd do my part for Canada by posting a rare remix of their song 'Last Train To London' from their number one album from 1979 called 'Discovery'.
E.L.O. were from Birmingham England and were pretty cool back in the day - they used both keyboards and an orchestra prominently - and they even later toured with a spaceship stage complete with lasers! 'Last Train To London' was released as a double A-side single coupled with 'Confusion' and it reached the top 10 in the U.K. at the end of 1979 and it scraped into the top 40 in North American at the start of 1980.
This is a rare remix by House de la Funk - a one man project from Pereira Colombia. This is his house remix from 2009 - although quite frankly he didn't have to change too much as it was already a great dance tune with an awesome bassline and massive keyboard hooks... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Juan DDD & Johan Dresser - 'Pokus Lokus' Another fine track from the ace new 1605 Music Therapy compilation called 'The Riot!' (also see post below). As described on their website: 'We didn't think that you had enough time to breathe since our last V/A compilation, so this time we bring you "The Riot!" so you can get the Techno monkey on your back again.' Techno monkey? I want a techno monkey! Anyone know where I can get one?
Juan Deigo Mendoza is a dj/ producer from Colombia - as is Johan Dresser - and this collaboration is called 'Pokus Lokus' - I like the trippy keyboard bits that first appear about 2 minutes in - then how it slows down about 3 minutes in - and then when the keyboard sounds come back moreso at about 3:30... Enjoy!
