Hexes has just released a new remix of Chris Isaak's classic 'Wicked Game' online! Rick Carrico aka Hexes is a dj/ producer from Chicago who posted this new remix of Isaak's sultry single on Soundcloud this weekend. The song was first released in 1989 but it didn't reach the masses until it was included in David Lynch's 1990 film 'Wild At Heart'.

Chemical Brothers - 'The Devil Is In The Beats' This is the fourth track on the 20 song score to the 'Hanna' soundtrack which is released exclusively on itunes this coming Tuesday. The film (which opens on April 8th) was shot in Bavaria, Morocco, Berlin, and Finland. Director Joe Wright cites David Lynch as a major influence and he says that 'it's not a typical action movie' rather more of a 'fairytale action movie drama'. 'It's quite a dark film in a couple of ways' he adds. This song sounds like it might be featured in one of the more upbeat surreal portions of the film - but with a title like 'The Devil Is In The Beats' - I can only speculate... Enjoy!

Julee Cruise - 'Mysteries Of Love' 'Mysteries Of Love' was written by composer Angelo Badalamenti with lyrics by David Lynch - and it was created for Lynch's 1986 film 'Blue Velvet'. It was also included on Julee Cruise's 1989 debut album called 'Floating Into The Night'. Julee Cruise is currently based in New York and is set to release a new album (her fourth) later this year! I love the strings in this song - her dreamy vocals - and the simplicity of the lyrics:

And The Mysteries Of Love
Come clear'

The boxed set includes 2 albums and two cd's - one each of the regular album and one each of instrumental versions of each track - along with an assortment of photo prints, cards, a poster and a booklet of David Lynch's photography. The book version came out first - and was limited to 5,000 copies as well - along with a poster and a blank cdr - fans were encouraged to download the music off the interweb while it was tied up in litigation! Along with David Lynch, former Grandaddy frontman Jason Lytle is the only artist to feature on two songs on the album. This is 'Jaykub' featuring the photos of David Lynch... Enjoy!
