Classic Bonus Track! 'Metal' reminded me of this classic rave tune from 1991 - 2 Frenchman's 'Black Planet' - which samples another classic - The B-52's new wave single from 1979 'Planet Claire'. This is the 'Save The Planet Mix'... Enjoy!
More 'Metal'! Black Asteroid's 'Metal' track also reminded me of another new wave classic with the same name from Gary Numan - which was the b-side to his 1979 single 'Cars' in North America. This nicely produced version is from Afrika Bambaata's 2004 album 'Dark Matter: Moving At The Speed Of Light' that features Numan himself as well as MC Chatterbox - who nicks Blondie... Enjoy!

Piatto are a duo from Italy consisting of brothers Alessandro and Davide Piatto - who've just released a new EP called 'Not Satisfied'!

The 'Original Mix' of 'Not Satisfied' features samples from a couple of underground club classics - the vocal line '... I'm just not satisfied' is borrowed from Divine's 1982 club hit 'Native Love (Step By Step)' produced by Bobby Orlando - and the keyboard sample (surfacing around 1:15 in) is from the 1978 post-punk industrial classic 'Warm Leatherette' from The Normal aka producer Daniel Miller which was the first release ever on the Mute Records label... Roisin Murphy has released a new EP called 'Simulation'! Murphy has released five albums as one half of the duo Moloko, and two solo albums so far - 2005's 'Ruby Blue' and 2007's 'Overpowered'.
The 'Simulation' EP features three tracks - the original mix, as well as remixes by Mano Le Tough and Eric Kupper - and is her first new single in two years. Germany's Boris Brejcha has just released a new EP called ' Der Mensch wird zur Maschine' - or 'Humans Become Machines'! So if humans become machines, are we to root for the humans or the robots? And are they even battling each other, or is this process the inevitable peaceful synthesis of man and technology? SummersRadio™ New Music! Maxime Dangles - 'Golden Gate' (Original Mix)/ 'Sun E' (Tempelhof Remix)
France's Maxime Dangles has just released a new EP called 'Sun E/ Golden Gate'! It was a mere two months ago that I was blown away by Dangles 'Hold Up' EP (which you can revisit here: http://summersradio.blogspot.ca/2012/06/summersradio-new-music-maxime-dangles.html) and now his vibrant sounds and amazing production are dazzling my mind yet again!
The new EP features three tracks - the original mixes of the two title tracks - and the 'Tempelhof Remix' of 'Sun E'. It's released on Italy's Hell Yeah Recordings label and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/#release/sun-e-golden-gate/951233
Let's begin with 'Golden Gate' - I love the label's description of this one: "Hidden kick drums thud below soft bell patterns, panpipes, trumpets and more percussion and the whole thing is on a constant upward arc in tiny repeated loops. At the top, a blistered acid synth right from the future sprays in like a light sabre. Its a dramatic, epic track with plenty of genuine musicality at its core." Like all legendary electronic songs it's quite the hypnotic sonic adventure... Enjoy!
Now deciding which version of 'Sun E' to post has proven difficult as they're two quite different takes yet equally alluring. The 'Original Mix' is a hypnotic techno/ funk workout while the 'Tempelhof Remix' builds a nice downtempo groove that comes alive (moreso) with acoustic guitar and handclaps about two minutes in. I'll go with the slightly more chilled of the two for now, but trust me they're both fantastic - I'm buying the full EP!

This monster tune called 'Sahib' is from Asino Di Medico (who is also from Holland) and was released in October - and I like it so much I'm tagging it as a last minute addition to the Best of 2010!...
