SummersRadio™ New Music! Depeche Mode - 'Heaven'
Depeche Mode are releasing their new single called 'Heaven' this Friday! 'Heaven' is the first official single from their forthcoming new album called 'Delta Machine' which is released March 26th on Columbia Records. Here's the album cover art:
'Delta Machine' - their 13th studio album - will be available as a standard 13 track cd, and as a Deluxe Edition featuring a a second disc containing four more new songs plus a 28 page hardcover booklet.
'Heaven' will be released as a two part cd single (and download no doubt) - the first part features 'Heaven' as well as a b-side song called 'All That's Mine' (which also appears on disc two of the Deluxe Edition). Part two or the 'Maxi' single features the original plus four remixes - the 'Owlle Remix', 'Steps To Heaven Remix', 'Blawan Remix' and the 'Matthew Dear vs Audion Remix'.
'Heaven' will be officially released on Friday with the premiere of it's video on Vevo - but the audio has surfaced on the world wide web today so we can enjoy an early listen. The song is rather subdued for a leadoff single, particularly compared to the first unofficial single 'Angel' - but then we always have the remixes to look forward to as well... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music + Free Download! Colin Stetson - 'High Above A Grey Green Sea'
Colin Stetson has released a new song online called 'High Above A Grey Green Sea'! The Montreal based musician is known for being a touring member of Arcade Fire and Bon Ivor. He's also worked with many other musicians including Feist, LCD Soundsystem, TV On The Radio and The National to name but a few.
Stetson is a bass saxophone player who also plays many other instruments - and he's released numerous solo albums - the latest of which will be 'New History Warfare Vol. 3: To See More Light'. The album will be released April 30th on Constellation Records on cd, on double 180gm vinyl and of course on download which will all be available here: http://summersradio.blogspot.ca/2013/01/summersradio-new-music-free-download_29.html

SummersRadio™ New Video! Tame Impala - 'Mind Mischief'
Tame Impala have just released a new video for their latest single 'Mind Mischief'! 'Mind Mischief' is the third official video and single released from their album 'Lonerism' - following 'Elephant' and 'It Feels Like We Only Go Backwards'.
The video deals with a common fantasy we've all experienced at some point - especially while being an undersexed teen... having a crush on a teacher! The video mixes live action film with psychedelic animation - so it's difficult to speculate how much of this was imagined by the student - but I reckon it's safe to say that he's still a virgin at the end... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Mladen Tomic - 'Physical Level' (Original Mix)
Bosnia's Mladen Tomic has just released a solid new EP called 'Techno Tools Vol. 1'! The EP features five tracks (full songs - not dj tools) and it's released on the Suara label. This is the first volume in a new series call 'Techno Tools' from Suara. All five tracks on the EP are postworthy so it's been a challenge choosing which song to feature, but I reckon that the fourth track 'Physical Level' is my favourite thus far. It features a cheeky line sampled from the 1973 film 'Enter The Dragon'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New EP + Free Downloads! Stars - 'Asleep'
Stars have just released a new EP called 'Far From Home' online today! The EP is released just a few weeks before the Montreal band head out on their Asian tour. 'Far From Home' features five tracks - four stripped down 'Breakglass Version'(s) of songs from their most recent album 'The North' - plus one great cover tune.
The 'Breakglass Version' of the title track was previously available as an itunes bonus track - but the others including 'Backlines', 'Lights Changing Colour' and 'Progress' have not been released until now. The fifth track on the EP is a cover of The Smiths classic song 'Asleep' which was previously only available on a children's charity music compilation called 'Sing Me To Sleep - Indie Lullabies'.

SummersRadio™ New Music! New Order - 'I've Got A Feeling'
New Order have just released a new-ish album called 'Lost Sirens'! Now I say new-ish because the tracks were recorded during the 'Waiting For The Sirens' Call' sessions between 2003 and 2004 - but six out of the album's eight tracks have never been released until now.
The songs were originally intended for the follow up to 'Waiting For...' but the group broke up in 2007. They've since reformed for some live shows in 2011 and 12 - without Peter Hook - but with the return of Gillian Gilbert.
I find it difficult to consider this their proper ninth album - perhaps 'Leftover Sirens' would be a more apt title. Two tracks have been available previously - 'Hellbent" was released in 2011 as part of the compilation album 'Total: From Joy Division to New Order'. 'I Told You So' also appeared on 'Waiting For..' but 'Lost Sirens' features the 'Crazy World Mix' of the song.

As 'Lost Sirens' is from the band's early 00's period the focus here is more on guitars - the keyboards are scarce. 'I've Got A Feeling' is a standout track with Peter Hook's soothing bass and some nice guitar effects... Enjoy!

L.A.'s Jessie Rose has released a new EP called 'Love The Feeling High'! It's also known as '12 x 12 - 001' - as it's the first in a series of twelve planned releases in twelve months throughout 2013.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have just announced details of their new album called 'Mosquito'! 'Mosquito' will be the NYC band's fourth full length and it's released on April 15th (U.K. & Europe)/ 16th (North America). Here's the album cover art designed by Beomsik Shimbe Shim:
Karen O - this week's NME cover star - had this to say about the sound of the new album: "There's probably more bass on this record than all the other records combined. But there's also plenty of guitar. It's a bit more tripped out than our other records." I must say I'm intrigued - 'Mosquito' also includes a track produced by LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy!
