Sptizer are releasing a new remix EP for their latest single 'Clunker' tomorrow! 'Clunker' is the second single/ EP (following 'Sergen') released from the French duo's debut album 'The Call', which was released in September. The 'Clunker' EP includes five tracks - a single edit of the title track which features vocals by Fab from the band Frustration, plus four quite varied remixes - one from Italy's Avatism, France's Subarys, Poland's The Same, and one by Alejandro Paz from Chile. The EP is released by InFine Music and it's available on both itunes and Beatport. (it's way cheaper on itunes!)
This is the 'Avatism Remix' - who totally transforms the original by majorly altering the vocals over a driving groove filled with sustained guitar effects... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Remix! Oxia Featuring Miss Kittin - 'Housewife' (Miss Kittin's Wipeout Mix)
France's Olivier Raymond aka Oxia has just released a new remix EP for his single with Miss Kittin called 'Housewife'! 'Housewife' first appeared as a track from Oxia's second solo album called 'Tides Of Mind' which was released in May on the InFine label.

I love Miss Kittin's vocals - she can make the most ordinary words sound interesting, seductive and fun! It's her own remix of the song in this package that's most to my liking here. She transforms the bass heavy housey original into a full on space disco adventure - this is 'Miss Kittin's Wipeout Mix' of 'Housewife'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Video! Spitzer - 'Sergen'
Spitzer release their debut album called 'The Call' today! We previously featured the extended version of 'Sergen' a couple months ago which you can revisit here: http://summersradio.blogspot.ca/2012/07/summersradio-new-music-spitzer.html
The duo from Lyon, France have just released a video for 'Sergen' and it's quite unique. It features a herd of sheep on a journey across the countryside and it fits the song surprisingly well.
It's directed by Louise Hemon and I particularly like it around 2:50 in where a number of animals - starting with the dog - seem to pose for the camera like they're a cast member on the opening credits of Saturday Night Live or some sitcom... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Spitzer - 'Sergen' (Extended Version)
Spitzer are a duo from Lyon, France (brothers actually) who've just released an amazing new EP called 'Sergen'! The three track EP includes the 'Extended Version' of the title track - as well as the original versions of 'Serpentine' and a wonderfully cinematic tune called 'Delenda' - and it's released on the InFine Music label. It's available on Beatport for $5.97 but it's a deal and a half on itunes - all three tracks for only $1.99!
The EP is also available on vinyl from Juno: http://www.juno.co.uk/products/sergen-ep/458482-01/ The original version of 'Sergen' will appear on their debut album called 'The Call' which will be released on September 3rd.
'Sergen' is quite an astounding tune - a bit like shoegazer techno. The duo are no strangers to indie rock - in fact they site the Washington D.C. post-hardcore band Fugazi as influences. The song features spacey electronics melding with bursts of guitar and feedback with proper (real) drums - this song/ EP won me over instantly on the first listen... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Rone - 'Nakt' Erwan Castex aka Rone is an artist/ producer/ filmmaker from Paris. He's just released a new EP on the InFiné Music label called 'So So So'. It features three songs including this track called 'Nakt' - which I think would make for the perfect soundtrack to a really cool lucid dream. If we were able to record our dreams (and be able to watch them later to learn from them - how amazing would that be?) this song would fit nicely with a montage of scenes of one flying without wings - or perhaps playing as you travel through time...
