SummersRadio™ New Music! Ribn - 'Pancake' Berlin based Stefan Brugesch aka Steve Bug has been dj'ing and producing for 20 years! He founded the deep house label Dessous Recordings in 1998, quickly followed by the Poker Flat Recordings label (current home to Trentemoller) in 1999. Poker Flat have just released their latest label compilation called 'Forward To The Past' - in a 'Back To The Future' style font!

In the words of label boss Steve Bug 'Forward To The Past' is a 'homage to the period between ‚85 and ‚92‘, traversing the heady sounds of Chicago House, Acid, New York House and Early Detroit Techno.' I like the title and the concept. Let's be honest - there's a lot of new music coming out right now that sounds a lot like that particular time period! (I may elaborate on this later today - depending on how many drinks are consumed in the next few hours!) I applaude them for being upfront about it here.

The compilation has 14 tracks - 12 brand new songs plus two remixes of two of those tracks. This is the 4th song on the list by Ribn - a German duo consisting of Manuel Tur and Max Heesen. I really like the production on this one - it's both spacious and spacey - this is 'Pancake'... Enjoy!
