New Order have just announced the details of their forthcoming new album 'Music Complete' online today! 'Music Complete' features eleven new tracks and it will be released on September 25th on Mute Records. This will be the band's first album without bassist Peter Hook, who left the band in 2007 - but it also features the return of keyboardist Gillian Gilbert.
The album is produced by New Order and it also features two guest producers - The Chemical Brothers' Tom Rowlands on two tracks ('Singularity' and 'Unlearn The Hate') and Stuart Price on the track 'Superheated'.

I doesn't indicate which song is being played in this thirty second clip - but judging by it's sound, I reckon it's one of the two Chemical Brothers produced tracks. Thirty seconds isn't much to go on, but this is thirty seconds of awesomeness - I can't wait to hear more... Enjoy!

Pet Shop Boys have just released their new studio album 'Electric' this week! 'Electric' is the ironic duo's twelfth studio album and it's released on their own x2 label distributed by Kobalt Label Services. It's available as a download as well as on cd and vinyl: http://www.petshopboysshop.co.uk/
PSB wanted to make a dance record this time out (as opposed to last year's rather somber 'Elysium') so they enlisted Stuart Price to produce. Early reviews have been extremely positive and going by the first two days sales the NME has reported that it's currently set to debut in the Top 3 in the U.K. - possibly even at number one!
'Love Is A Bourgeois Construct' is one of 'Electric's standout tracks - like most of the songs on the album it has an uplifting feel to it. Despite being more of a club record thankfully there are still a number of songs featuring their always clever lyrics - only the Pet Shop Boys could write a song about love using words like 'riffraff' and 'penal code'... Pet Shop Boys have just released their new single called 'Axis' today! 'Axis' is the first single from their forthcoming new album (their twelfth) called 'Electric', which will be released on July 15th through Kobalt Label Services. The album is produced by Stuart Price (aka Jacques Lu Cont, etc.) and PSB - it features nine tracks including a cover of Bruce Springsteen's 'The Last To Die'. Pet Shop Boys are already touring in support of 'Electric' and they've just announced a Vancouver date - at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on October 3rd. Pre-sale tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at Ticketmaster.
It's great to see the duo moving on from the blandness of last year's 'Elysium' so quickly. 'Axis' is certainly their most full on dance single in some time, and if the full album has this much energy it sounds like they've got a winner - for real this time... Enjoy!

After posting the latest remix from Jacques Lu Cont aka Stuart Price I thought I'd post one of my favourite old school remixes he's done - this one under his Thin White Duke moniker. Starsailor released 'Four To The Floor' as the third single from their second album called 'Silence Is easy' in 2004. For many years only an edited version of this remix was available physically, but this full 8:12 version is now available digitally on itunes... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! John Dahlback - 'Take This Thing Back' (Jacques Lu Cont Remix)
From about 2002 to 2006 Stuart Price aka Jacques Lu Cont (best aka the Thin White Duke during that period) was one of my most favorite producers/ remixers. However in more recent years it seemed to me that he'd just run out of ideas and simply started recycling his own formula over and over. His latest remix out this week is of John Dahlback's new single 'Take This Thing Back' - the 50th release on Chris Lake's Rising Music label - and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/#release/take-this-thing-back/913179
I'm happy to say that this is a surprisingly amazing remix - although it does rip off one of his own previous productions as per usual - the disco basslines of his underrated one off 2003 single as Man With Guitar in this case. However as the song progresses he wisely forgoes the mainstream dubstep and electro synths parts of the original, and instead turns the vocal hook into a Daft Punk 'the fun back in the funk' style loop and surprisingly leads the song into acid techno territory. Then just when you think you know what's going on the fire alarm goes off! :)

Depeche Mode - 'A Pain That I'm Used To' (Jacques Lu Cont Remix) I would imagine that the easy part of compiling a tracklist for a new Depeche Mode remix album would be adding the new remixes. When it comes to choosing just 24 classic remixes out of hundreds of options it must be hard to decide which ones to go with - so I'm glad to see that one of my favorite remixes of their more recent material made the cut!
'A Pain That I'm Used To' was released as the second single from their 2005 release 'Playing The Angel'. This remix is from legendary British producer Jacques Lu Cont - also known as Stuart Price (and by numerous other monikers) and although this may be considered late in their respective careers - I consider this song/ remix to be one of their finest individual pieces of work... play it loud and Enjoy!
