Boards Of Canada have just released a new single and video online called 'Reach For The Dead'! 'Reach For The Dead' is the first single from the Scottish duo's fourth studio album called 'Tomorrow's Harvest'.
The single is available on iTunes now and the album is released on June 10th/11th (Europe)/(North America). 'Tomorrow's Harvest' will be available as a download and physically on a double lp or cd - released on Warped Records.

SummersRadio™ New Remix! The Twilight Sad - 'Not Sleeping' (Tom Furse Dub Mix)
The Twilight Sad have just released a new remix online today! The Twilight Sad are an indie rock trio from Scotland that released their third album called 'No One Can Ever Know' (featuring production assistance from Andrew Weatherall) on the Fat Cat label in February. On November 5th they are releasing 'No One Can Ever Know - The Remixes' which will be available on both cd and vinyl as well as a digital download. It features nine tracks - three remixes of 'Sick' and two each of 'Nil', 'The Alphabet', and 'Not Sleeping' - from the likes of Liars, Com Truise and Breton.
The band have just released this remix of 'Not Sleeping' by Tom Furse from The Horrors to both Stereogum and Rolling Stone online today - and as a free download! SummersRadio™ New Music! Clouds - 'Optic'
Scotland's Clouds have just released their new EP called 'Optic' this week! 'Optic' is a four track EP featuring the original mix of the title track, 'Future Blaster', 'Vaults', and a remix of 'Optic' by Jesper Dahlback. It's released on Tiga's Turbo Recordings label and it's available on both itunes and Beatport. Helpful hint: if this song is to your liking it's much cheaper on itunes :)

All four songs on the EP are solid, but it's the original version of 'Optic' that I like best. This is one quality tune from start to finish - I particularly dig the ultra spaced out feedback-induced vocal bits, and the funky driving percussion... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Clouds - 'Mr. Pink' (Original Mix)/ 'Articles' (Ado Remix) Sure, I'm going to post a few Christmas songs - but naturally I'm going to mix it up with some new music as well! Tiga's new sublabel Twin Turbo have just released their latest single - I particularly like their new motto on their Soundcloud page:

The sixth release on the label is from Clouds - who are from Perth Scotland - with their new four/ five track EP called 'Matter'. The EP features four songs on itunes and a bonus fifth track on Beatport - the title track, three versions (just two on itunes) of the song 'Articles', and a song called 'Mr. Pink'.
Several of the tracks on the 'Matter' EP (as befits the label's current motto) are amazing full on mind blowing acid techno bangers! I've chosen my two favorites thus far - I actually like them so much that I had to buy them before I even finished this post! First up we have the third track on the EP - this is 'Mr. Pink'... Enjoy!

For myself declaring the winner was easy - but I'll post both so you can decide for yourself!
Soma Quality Recordings was started in 1991 by Scottish duo Slam. This year as part of their 20th anniversary celebration they're releasing a series of singles containing remixes of songs from their extensive catalogue.
'Mothership Reconnection' was first released in 1999 - featuring remixes from several artists including Funk D'Void, Slam and Daft Punk. This new release - which is out digitally now, and on vinyl May 16th - features a brand new remix by Barclay Crenshaw aka Claude VonStroke. It also features the original Daft Punk remix from 1999. So in this corner we have the new 'Claude VonStroke Energy Pattern Remix'... Enjoy!
And in this corner we have the b-side if you will - one of the original remixes from 1999 - by Daft Punk! I'm biased of course - as this is one of my ALL TIME favorite remixes - in the history of humans! And it still sounds AMAZING twelve years on... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ Classic Cover! The Jesus And Mary Chain - 'Surfin' USA' That Trentemoller song gave me a hankering for some more surf music - SummersRadio™ style! The Beach Boys first released 'Surfin U.S.A'. in 1963 - this version by Scotland's Jesus And Mary Chain can be found on their 1988 compilation of b-sides and rarities called 'Barbed Wire Kisses'. This feedback fueled version comes complete with a trippy fan made video... Enjoy!
