The Swedish duo love Tame Impala and the song so they decided to do their own version - here are their comments: "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" is really enthralling, it's like there are several different worlds inside one song. How it feels like a simple rock song (with almost pop melodies) but with a field of colour bursts of warm layered instrumentation that re-invents itself throughout the whole song... but it wasn't until we started making our own version that we discovered how beautiful the lyrics are - another world in itself - so we decided to strip the groove back and take it into another place.'

The band are on the cover of this week's New Musical Express - and if you're able to scoop up a copy there's a 'Franz Ferdinand: Live And Remixed' cd mounted on the cover that includes the 'Todd Terje Extended Mix' of their new single 'Evil Eye'.
The 'Todd Terje Extended Mix' of 'Evil Eye' is quite straightforward for the first third of the song, but then Terje flips things around for the ladder two thirds which are a funky dub version of the single... Enjoy!

The Casket Girls have released a new cassingle (!) called 'Holding You Back'/ 'Suddenly'! The Casket Girls are a trio from Savannah, Georgia consisting of Phaedra & Elsa Greene who write the lyrics and sing, and Ryan Graveface who writes the music.
They released 'Holding You Back'/ 'Suddenly' for Cassette Store Day (which was last Saturday) - and they're asking fans to vote for which song they prefer - as one of the two will make it onto their next album which is called 'True Love Kills The Fairy Tale'.

I'm having a hard time deciding which of the two songs I like most - I think I prefer the lyrics most on 'Suddenly' and the music on 'Holding You Back' - but since it's so close I'll post both!
