Their remix of 'Teardrop' has a subtle drum and bass feel with the addition of other spacey sounds - but what's particularly interesting about this remix is how the gorgeous vocals of Elizabeth Fraser seem even clearer and more upfront than in the original.

Adam Curtis has released a new video featuring Massive Attack! Adam Curtis is a British documentarian perhaps best known for his 2002 film 'The Century Of The Self' about how Freud's theories have helped form modern advertising.
This new surreal video trailer was made to help promote this year's Manchester International Film Festival. It features Massive Attack's 'Portishead Experience' remix of their song 'Karmacoma' from their 2006 album 'Protection - The Remixes' - as well a portion of The Shirelles 1961 hit 'Baby It's You'... The 'Dom T's House Of Fortune Mix' of the song was featured as the b-side on the U.S. cd single and on the double limited cd single and 12"'s in the U.K. for 'Protection's title track when it was released as a single in '95... SummersRadio™ New Music! Gui Boratto featuring Luciana Villanova - 'This Is Not The End'/ Gui Boratto - 'Flying Practice' Brazil's Gui Boratto has just released his new album - his third full length - appropriately titled 'III'! It features 12 tracks and is available on vinyl, cd and digitally on the German Kompakt label.
'This Is Not The End' is a standout track featuring the vocals of Luciana Villanova - who's also sang on his previous two albums - perhaps due in part that she's also Gui Boratto's wife! I'm not sure if she's from Brazil as well or not, but her voice is very indie/ North American sounding - which is to my liking :) If you're a fan of Gui's remix of Massive Attack's 'Paradise Circus' (featuring Hope Sandoval on vocals) I suspect that this song may be to your liking - it has a similar feel to it - although it's not quite as dark.

This is Gui Boratto featuring Luciana Villanova with the eleventh track on his new album 'III' called 'This Is Not The End' - I wouldn't be surprised at all to see this one released as a single someday soon... Enjoy!
Here's another standout track from Gui Boratto's new album 'III' (which is out now) called 'Flying Practice' - it's the fourth track on the album and it follows the official first single 'The Drill'. It's a rather cheerful instrumental song that I think would sound good while driving or flying... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Massive Attack vs Portishead - 'Teardrop On Roads' This mashup by Austin's Jaya Prime stitches together Massive Attack's 'Teardrop' (featuring vocals by Elizabeth Fraser - former vocalist for the Cocteau Twins) and Portishead's 'Roads'! 'Teardrops' is a single from Massive Attack's 1998 release called 'Mezzanine' and 'Roads' is a standout track from Portishead's 1994 debut 'Dummy' - both bands are from Bristol. This seems like more of a medley than a mashup, but that's perhaps because it fits together so seamlessly. 'Paradise Circus' was the first single and features the vocals of Hope Sandoval of Mazzy Star fame - who has also released two albums with her newer band The Warm Inventions. She has lent her unique vocals to many other great artists as well including the Chemical Brothers, Death In Vegas, Jesus & Mary Chain, Air - and of course Massive Attack! This remix by Brazilian producer Gui Boratto was also released in February - he takes the song into dancier territory while also expanding on the spaciousness of the original... Enjoy!
