SummersRadio™ New Remix! Franz Ferdinand - 'Evil Eye' (Todd Terje Extended Mix)
Franz Ferdinand have released an exclusive cd with this week's NME! The band are on the cover of this week's New Musical Express - and if you're able to scoop up a copy there's a 'Franz Ferdinand: Live And Remixed' cd mounted on the cover that includes the 'Todd Terje Extended Mix' of their new single 'Evil Eye'.
The 'Todd Terje Extended Mix' of 'Evil Eye' is quite straightforward for the first third of the song, but then Terje flips things around for the ladder two thirds which are a funky dub version of the single... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Rare Remix + Free Download! The Beatles - 'Tomorrow Never Knows' (David Apple Remix)
Today's post has been inspired by two things - Remembrance Day - and a headline from today's NME online: "Yoko Ono Thanks Paul McCartney For Saying She Didn't Split Up The Beatles" http://www.nme.com/news/yoko-ono/67120
The peace achieved between Ono and McCartney provides symbolic hope for peace between nations - even those who've been at odds for decades. For 42 years some humans have continued to blame Yoko (and some fools still will) but they're wrong - the truth is out now.
As such a great promoter of peace and as a fan of Yoko's music as well http://summersradio.blogspot.ca/2012/02/summersradio-new-music-remixes-yoko-ono.html (and the all artists involved here) I think that this is an important acknowledgement.
As a human with a very anti-violence stance I wear the white poppies for peace at this time of year. You can learn more about them here: http://www.ppu.org.uk/whitepoppy/index.html
David Apple is a London based producer who's released a dozen remixes on Soundcloud to date: http://soundcloud.com/mrdavidapple
He released this remix of the Beatles classic 'Tomorrow Never Knows' from their 1966 album 'Revolver' in February, which cleverly incorporates keyboard elements of Radiohead's 'Everything In It's Right Place' - and other interesting bits into it. If it's to your liking simply click on the download icon below or the link above for your free copy!
Is world peace possible? Perhaps not today, but 'Tomorrow Never Knows'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Curve - 'I Feel Love' This version of Donna Summer's 1977 disco/ electronic classic produced by Giorgio Moroder was hard to find for many years as it was initially only released on the limited edition 3cd set called 'Ruby Trax' - which was released in celebration of the NME's 40th anniversary! It was released in 1992 and featured 40 of the coolest artists at the time doing a cover of their favorite number one song of the last 40 years! It was an amazing compilation but it's long out of print, however the song can now be found on Curve's double best of collection called 'The Way Of Curve 1990/ 2004' - Enjoy!
