'Soothe My Soul' has just been confirmed as the second official single to be released from their new album (available everywhere this week) 'Delta Machine' - following 'Heaven' which came out in January - and it's their 50th (!) single overall.
The video for 'Soothe My Soul' finds Dave Gahan on the hunt - yes, like most men he's just a sneaky snake who wants to get laid... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Primal Scream - 'It's Alright, It's Ok'
Primal Scream have just released another new song online called 'It's Alright, It's Ok'!
'It's Alright, It's Ok' is the second song that the band have posted online from their forthcoming new album called 'More Light' which will be released on May 13th on the Ignition Records label.
Earlier this month the band released the first song from 'More Light' called '2013' which also featured a remix by Andrew Weatherall which you can revisit here: http://summersradio.blogspot.ca/2013/03/summersradio-new-music-remix-primal.html
While '2013' has a more straight ahead rock feel to it, 'It's Alright, It's Ok' is a melting pot of styles - blues, soul, gospel and folk - and it wouldn't sound out of place floating alongside tracks from their classic masterpiece 'Screamadelica'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Piatto - 'Not Satisfied' (Original Mix)
Piatto are a duo from Italy consisting of brothers Alessandro and Davide Piatto - who've just released a new EP called 'Not Satisfied'!
The 'Not Satisfied' EP features three tracks - the original plus remixes from Perfect Stranger and Kirill Mixer. It's released on the IAMT (Iamtechno) label and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/release/not-satisfied/1049931
The 'Original Mix' of 'Not Satisfied' features samples from a couple of underground club classics - the vocal line '... I'm just not satisfied' is borrowed from Divine's 1982 club hit 'Native Love (Step By Step)' produced by Bobby Orlando - and the keyboard sample (surfacing around 1:15 in) is from the 1978 post-punk industrial classic 'Warm Leatherette' from The Normal aka producer Daniel Miller which was the first release ever on the Mute Records label... Belinda Carlisle has just released a new single called 'Sun' today! Now I know this post is a bit poppier than usual - but the Go-Go's are one of my all time favourite bands (they're touring again this summer) and this is her first new (English language) single in 17 years! 'Sun' is her first new song since the release of her 1996 album 'A Woman And A Man' and her French language debut 'Voila' in 2007.
'Sun' is the one new song on her new eleven track best of compilation called 'Icon' which is available both on cd (on Amazon: http://www.amazon.ca/ICON-Belinda-Carlisle/dp/B00AO7HPNO/ref=sr_1_6?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1363748571&sr=1-6) and as a download on iTunes as of today (it's listed as 'Best Of' on iTunes Canada instead of 'Icon' for some reason).
'Sun' has summer hit written all over it - and with the opening keyboards it sounds like it would lend itself well to some dance remixes - hopefully there will be some forthcoming. So please help spread the word and hopefully we'll see Belinda back on the charts soon - this is 'Sun'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Music News! Pet Shop Boys - 'Electric' Video Teaser
London's ironic duo Pet Shop Boys have made a couple of surprising announcements today - they're leaving their label Parlophone after 28 years - and they're releasing a new album in June - less than a year after 'Elysium'!
PSB made the announcements on Facebook today - they've just signed a new worldwide record deal with the Kobalt Music Group which was founded in 2001 and is home to other artists such as Paul McCartney, Moby, Tiesto, James Murphy, Pearl Jam and Bon Ivor.
Even more surprising is that they're releasing a new album called 'Electric' in June - just nine months after the release of their eleventh studio album 'Elysium'. This is odd because the average wait between new PSB studio albums has been three years. In some ways though this is no surprise at all - just tremendous news for fans.
If you follow SummersRadio™ regularly you'll know I'm a massive PSB fan - but I also found most of their last album to be unbearable. Too much of it was far too bland and lifeless. Maybe Parlophone urged them to do an adult contemporary album or something (who knows) but it's starting to look like a bit of a contractual obligation album - not that that in itself is an excuse for releasing a craptacular album!
I applaud the move - it's great that they're so eager to release a new album so quickly. It looks like they're doing exactly what two intelligent, talented musicians should do here - distance themselves from the last album and make a better one chop-chop! 'Electric' will be released in June on both cd and as a download and it's produced by Stuart Price (aka Jacques Lu Cont and many more) who's worked with artists including Madonna, The Killers, Kylie Minogue, Scissor Sisters and New Order. Price also reedited their most recent single 'Memory Of The Future' and produced the megamix they performed at the Brit Awards in 2009 when they received the 'Outstanding Contribution To Music' award.
So Pet Shop Boys are returning to their roots... clubland! Here's a video teaser for 'Electric' that the band posted today. It certainly sounds promising as a livelier dance focused album - and dare I say that the music here sounds more exciting than the rather dated disco featured in Daft Punk's new teaser... Enjoy!
