The Postal Service have just released their second new song online called 'Turn Around'! 'Turn Around' is one of two new songs included on the Tenth Anniversary Deluxe Reissue of the duo's only album 'Give Up'. The new edition of 'Give Up' will be released on April 9th on Sub Pop Records, who just posted this other previously unreleased track called 'Turn Around' on YouTube. 'Turn Around' features Ben Gibbard singing about being a friend in need... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! The Postal Service - 'A Tattered Line Of String'
The Postal Service have just revealed a new/ previously unreleased song called 'A Tattered Line Of String' online today! Although the duo consisting of Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard and Dntel's Jimmy Tamborello recently announced that they were reuniting for a series of live dates including performing at Coachella, Ben Gibbard has insisted repeatedly that there are no plans whatsoever to record a second album.
So it's a good thing then to discover that the tracklisting for the remastered Deluxe 10th Anniversary Edition of their debut 'Give Up' will include two previously unreleased songs recorded during the original album sessions.

Both of the first two previously unreleased tracks feature backing vocals from Jenny Lewis. This is 'A Tattered Line Of String' - a fine electro pop song - and likely the closest we'll ever get to hearing a brand new Postal Service track (available now on itunes)... Enjoy!

If you're a fan of synth pop artists like Dntel, The Postal Service, Saint Etienne, and The Human League, I highly suspect that Flow Machines will be to your liking.

This is one of the standout tracks on 'Hi-Res' upon my first listen - this is track eight called 'Synchronise'. I especially like how the hypnotic vocal sample drifts from one speaker to the next.. Enjoy!

Death Cab For Cutie - 'Doors Unlocked And Open' (Cut Copy Remix) Bellingham's Death Cab For Cutie have just released a new remix on itunes today - and they've just announced that they're releasing a seven track remix EP next month! The EP is called the 'Keys And Codes Remix EP' - quite obviously featuring remixes of tracks from their 'Codes And Keys' album which was released at the end of May.

Bonus Track! I suspect that the new 'Keys And Codes Remix EP' will be of some comfort to fans who've been waiting eight years for a follow up - at least to hear Ben Gibbard sing on some more electronic tracks.
This is The Postal Service's 'Nothing Better' - the 'Styrofoam Remix' - from the EP for 'We Will Become Silhouettes' which was the fourth single released from their 'Give Up' album. I love the female vocals on this song - which are provided by Seattle's Jen Wood of the Jen Wood Trio... Enjoy!

What makes it a classic is that this track features vocals and lyrics from Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard - and it was this collaboration that led to the forming of the Postal Service and their debut release in 2003.
