The song is cleverly based around an ominous keyboard sample from Frankie Goes To Hollywood's massive single 'Relax' which was produced by Trevor Horn. They also utilize the 'Hit me with those lazer beams' line but this is no cover song - it's an exciting new acid techno tinged journey that transcends time and space... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Video + Concert News + Free Remix Download Link! The Presets - 'Youth In Trouble' (full song/ video)
The Presets have just posted the official video for their new single online today! Last week we featured the teaser videos for the song - today we have the full song and complete video. 'Youth In Trouble' is the first single from their much anticipated forthcoming third album called 'Pacifica' which will be released on September 14th.
Their label Modular Recordings just premiered the video directed by New York visual artist Yoshi Sodeoka this afternoon. So far it's only had 303 views but I reckon that will rise pretty chop chop as both the song and video are fantastic. The announcement came in an e-mail that describes the tune as 'a never-ending, undulating slice of face-melting techno' - and I concur.
And if a new song, new video, and free download isn't enough exciting Presets news for you - the band have also just announced a series of North American dates in October that includes a show in Vancouver! Chicago electronica/ techno legend Curtis Jones aka Green Velvet (among other monikers) has teamed up with San Diego dj/ producer Victor Ramos aka Harvard Bass for his newest release! The pair have just released the two track 'Jumbo Mumbo' EP on the Relief Records label featuring the original mixes of the title track - and a song called 'Kickin It' - and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/#release/jumbo-mumbo-ep/877475
I'm not a big fan of the vocal sample on the title track - I actually think they should have called this the 'Kickin It' EP - as it's the b-side that's the real standout here. The song is a classic disco/ house/ techno hybrid - think Giorgio Moroder style backing synths with classic Green Velvet soul filled vocals. The only thing I wish were different about this track was that it was twice as long - ten minutes instead of five (this video is edited slightly) because it's that awesome! Enjoy...!

Mine was pretty good - aside from surviving I went to an amazing house warming party called 'Welcome To Wonderland' that featured a live singer, mushroom tea, a massive roof deck - and a bouncy castle! I guess the religous fanatics were wrong - who knew?!
Aeroplane is the Belgium based solo project (formerly a duo) of Vito De Luca. He released his debut album cheekily titled 'We Can't Fly' last fall on the Eskimo Recordings label. 'My Enemy' is the latest single (the fourth) released from the album and it's officially released tomorrow with two brand new remixes! They're both great so rather than choose one I thought I'd post both! First up we have London's Jake Williams aka Rex The Dog's remix... Enjoy!
