The Presets have just released their latest single called 'Ghosts'! 'Ghosts' is the second single (following 'Youth In Trouble') from their forthcoming third album 'Pacifica' which is released September 7th on Modular Recordings.
'Ghosts' is very different from 'Youth In Trouble' - as it's much more laid back affair. I definitely prefer 'Youth...' about 100 times over at this point - but I'm not going to write this one off just yet as they haven't made a proper video (and they do make good ones) and I reckon some remixes could certainly save this one. It sounds a bit like a song one might sing on a boat - so it may go over well with pirates :)

Bonus Track! The new Presets single reminded me of a classic seafaring summer tune from another band from downunder - although from New Zealand rather than Australia.
Split Enz released 'Six Months In A Leaky Boat' as the second single from their album 'Time And Tide' way back in 1982. I like this video version of the song as it also includes the brief instrumental tune 'Pioneer' (which preceded the song and segued into it on the album) as it's intro... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Video + Concert News + More! The Presets!
SummersRadio™ New Video + Concert News + Free Remix Download Link! The Presets - 'Youth In Trouble' (full song/ video)
The Presets have just posted the official video for their new single online today! Last week we featured the teaser videos for the song - today we have the full song and complete video. 'Youth In Trouble' is the first single from their much anticipated forthcoming third album called 'Pacifica' which will be released on September 14th.
Their label Modular Recordings just premiered the video directed by New York visual artist Yoshi Sodeoka this afternoon. So far it's only had 303 views but I reckon that will rise pretty chop chop as both the song and video are fantastic. The announcement came in an e-mail that describes the tune as 'a never-ending, undulating slice of face-melting techno' - and I concur.
'Youth In Trouble' will be available for purchase on itunes tomorrow - along with a three track remix EP featuring remixes by Green Velvet, Alex Metric, and The Finger Prince & Light Year. SummersRadio™ New Music Preview! The Presets - 'Youth In Trouble' (previews parts 1 & 2)/ 'My People'
The Presets have just announced details of their new album! The Australian duo are set to release their third album called 'Pacifica' on Modular Recordings on September 14th. The release date has seen some delays and it's been a long four year wait for fans since 2008's excellent 'Apocalypso'. Here's the cover artwork for 'Pacifica':
You can pre-order a copy of the 'Limited Edition Pacifica Deluxe' cd that includes a copy of the release on cd, vinyl and mp3 - as well as a signed lithograph and a hard cover book packaged in a lenticular case from their offical website here: http://pacifica.thepresets.com/
The Presets are touring this fall as part of Australia's annual Parklife Music Festival which travels to Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide between September 29th and October 7th.
