Alma Construct is releasing a new self titled EP! J. Thompson aka Alma Construct's debut EP features five tracks written and produced by Thompson - the 'Black Side' features 'On The Edge, Surrounded With The Shores Of Assudrey' and 'Deer Drink From The River', while the 'Silver Side' includes 'Imagine Them', 'Dialectic A' and 'Dialectic B'. 'The 'Alma Constructs' EP will be released August 25th on R & S Records.

Bear In Heaven have released a new song online called 'Autumn'! Bear In Heaven are a Brooklyn three piece band that describe their sound on Facebook as 'Psych/Dub/Drone/Pop' - I'd also add shoegaze and space rock. 'Autumn' is the first track on their forthcoming new album called 'Time Is Over One Day Old' which will be released August 5th on the Dead Oceans label.

SummersRadio™ New Music! Cat Power & Coldplay - 'Wish I Was Here'
Cat Power and Coldplay have released a new song called 'Wish I Was Here'! 'Wish I Was Here' is the title track from the movie and soundtrack of the same name - the full soundtrack is released this Tuesday on Columbia Records and the movie opens in selected cities on July 18th.
The film is directed by Zach Braff (his second - following 2004's 'Garden State') and it was co-written with his brother Adam J. Braff. Zach Braff also stars in the film as a struggling actor trying to find his purpose in life. The soundtrack features sixteen songs and the title track is one of three songs that are available now (along with new songs from Bon Ivor and The Shins) on iTunes.
Chris Martin wrote the song and it was also his idea to feature a female lead vocalist on the track. Chan Marshall aka Cat Power's vocals fit the understated reflective ballad perfectly... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! The Presets - 'No Fun'
The Presets have released a new single called 'No Fun'! 'No Fun' follows January's 'Goodbye Future' as the second new single from the Australian duo this year - there's still no word on a new full length album yet however. 'No Fun' is available now on iTunes.

Despite it's title 'No Fun' is actually is a pretty fun song - with plenty of oldschool keyboard sounds. The only part not to my liking is the 'music makes me wanna' backing vocal effects - but hopefully they'll be left out of one of the remixes... Enjoy!

'All The Rage Bach Home' is the first single from the band's forthcoming new album (their fifth) called 'El Pintor', which is released September 8th on Matador Records. 'El Pintor' is Spanish for 'the painter' and it's also an anagram for Interpol.
'All The Rage Back Home' is rousing rocker that finds them sounding rather R.E.M.-ish (when they were still good). It begins quietly but you'll soon be singing along to the 'Hey hey hey's'... Enjoy!

A funny thing happened in the music world yesterday - sites from around the world from NME to Stereogum were all posting the new Death From Above 1979 single. The thing is that they all provided the very same BBC link to listen to it - where the song didn't even have a bloody play button! However about an hour ago the band posted a proper Youtube link on Facebook to this somewhat clever lyrics video so we can now all give it a proper listen.

'Trainwreck 1979' has a lot riding on it - as it's been a ten year wait since the band 's debut album 'You're A Woman, I'm A Machine' and eight years since their rather surprising breakup in 2006.
