SummersRadio™ Classic Mashups/ Remixes! Z-Trip!

SummersRadio™ Classic Mashups! Z-Trip! L.A. based Zach Sciacca aka Z-Trip is performing in Vancouver tonight at 560! Z-Trip grew up in Phoenix where began his turntablist career as part of the trio known as the Bombshelter DJ's - along with DJ Emile and DJ Radar. Z-Trip's breakthrough came with the release of 'Uneasy Listening Vol. 1' - a collaboration with DJ P - in 2001. The release was limited to only 1,000 copies - and I'm lucky enough to have one! There's no tracklist information included - it simply says 'THIS IS THE BEST CD I OWN' on the disc!

Since 2001 Z-Trip has released a number of albums and EP's, remixed artists such as Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, Kasabian, Bassnectar, Rush and Justice. He's also released both film and video game soundtracks, and countless mixtapes and internet only mixes. Today we'll feature a few tracks from the scarce masterpiece 'Uneasy Listening Vol. 1' release - which features dozens of samples from a diverse range of range of artists such as Pink Floyd, Eurythmics, The Police, Metallica, Depeche Mode, Midnight Oil, Rush, Public Enemy, Tears For Fears and Glen Campbell to name a few!

And if you're in Vancouver there will be a limited amount of tickets available for Z-Trip at the door tonight at 560 - so arrive early!

This is a portion of the album intro and second track on the cd known as the 'Waffle House skit' and a mashup of Glen Campbell's 'Rhinestone Cowboy' with Nairobi's 'Funky Soul Makossa'... Enjoy!

Here's a fine example of Z-Trip's all encompassing genre smashing sound - this track features Herbie Hancock, Naked Eyes, Public Enemy and more... Enjoy!

This is the closing track on 'Uneasy Listening Vol. 1' - a remix of The Beatles 'Yesterday'... Enjoy!
