Nancy Whang and Audiojack have just released a new EP called 'Like An Eagle'! 'Like An Eagle' is a cover of Dennis Parker's title track from his 1979 album released on Casablanca Records.
This EP is the first of four that will feature the former LCD Soundsystem's vocalist/ keyboardist covering classic 70's tracks. The first EP features three tracks (the original plus two remixes) and it's released on Gomma Records. Classixx are releasing their debut album called 'Hanging Gardens'! The Californian production duo are releasing their debut on May 15th on the Future Classic label. 'All You're Waiting For' is the second single from the forthcoming album (following 'Holding On') and it features the lovely vocals of LCD Soundsystem's Nancy Whang who has a certain sweetness and sincerity in her voice that is reminiscent of the Human League.

Holy Ghost! featuring Nancy Whang and Juan MacLean - 'I Wanted To Tell Her' Holy Ghost have just released their latest single - a cover of Ministry's 'I Wanted To Tell Her'! The song features special guests and DFA Records label mates Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem and Juan MacLean - although the song is available from Green Label Sound - the record label formed by Mountain Dew!
'I Wanted To Tell Her' was one of three singles released from Ministry's often forgotten new wave/ synthpop debut album called 'With Sympathy' which was released in 1983 - before singer Al Jourgensen quickly moved on to a more industrial, and later hardcore sound. This cover by Holy Ghost! is quite faithful to the original (although shorter in length) - they even mimic the original 'With Sympathy' cover art! Bonus Track! Ministry - 'Work For Love' 'Work For Love' was another single from Ministry's 'With Sympathy' album - and about 180 degrees away from their later sound of singles such as 'Jesus Built My Hotrod'. After a being on hiatus for a couple years Ministry recently reformed for some live shows this summer - and they plan to tour in the new year in support of a new album called 'Relapse' which is expected to be released in the spring. You can bet that they won't be doing this one live - but it's still a great song - I like the female backing vocals - and it's even got a cowbell in it... Enjoy!

Shit Robot - 'Losing My Patience' While James Murphy may have put an end to LCD Soundsystem (posted below) he still has his label DFA Records - which Shit Robot are signed to. Marcus Lambkin aka Shit Robot released his debut album called 'From The Cradle To The Rave' last September - and 'Losing My Patience' is the third and latest single from the album, following 'I Got A Feeling' and 'Take Me Up' - which featured LCD Soundsystem's Nancy Whang on vocals. 'Losing My Patience' features vocals from Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip! First up we have the new video... Enjoy!

He released his cleverly titled debut album 'From The Cradle To The Rave' in September on DFA Records. Vocals on this track are performed by Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem - and it features lyrics co-written with her and James Murphy! I wish Nancy sang more on LCD albums - but for now this is one great tune - a bit like the Human League at their best meets LCD... Enjoy!
