Holy Ghost! featuring Nancy Whang and Juan MacLean - 'I Wanted To Tell Her' Holy Ghost have just released their latest single - a cover of Ministry's 'I Wanted To Tell Her'! The song features special guests and DFA Records label mates Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem and Juan MacLean - although the song is available from Green Label Sound - the record label formed by Mountain Dew!
'I Wanted To Tell Her' was one of three singles released from Ministry's often forgotten new wave/ synthpop debut album called 'With Sympathy' which was released in 1983 - before singer Al Jourgensen quickly moved on to a more industrial, and later hardcore sound. This cover by Holy Ghost! is quite faithful to the original (although shorter in length) - they even mimic the original 'With Sympathy' cover art! Bonus Track! Ministry - 'Work For Love' 'Work For Love' was another single from Ministry's 'With Sympathy' album - and about 180 degrees away from their later sound of singles such as 'Jesus Built My Hotrod'. After a being on hiatus for a couple years Ministry recently reformed for some live shows this summer - and they plan to tour in the new year in support of a new album called 'Relapse' which is expected to be released in the spring. You can bet that they won't be doing this one live - but it's still a great song - I like the female backing vocals - and it's even got a cowbell in it... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Classic! Ministry!
SummersRadio™ Classic! Ministry - 'Everyday Is Halloween' (Remix) Ministry first released this song on 12" in 1984 and then again with remixes in '86, and to this day it resonates with fans of both goth culture and of anyone who's ever felt like an outsider. This remix is currently available on their 'Early Trax' release. I always think of this song as the missing link between their early 80's new romantic songs like 'Work For Love' and their transformation to their much heavier sound that followed later in the decade.
