SummersRadio™ New Video + Concert News + Free Remix Download Link! The Presets - 'Youth In Trouble' (full song/ video)
The Presets have just posted the official video for their new single online today! Last week we featured the teaser videos for the song - today we have the full song and complete video. 'Youth In Trouble' is the first single from their much anticipated forthcoming third album called 'Pacifica' which will be released on September 14th.
Their label Modular Recordings just premiered the video directed by New York visual artist Yoshi Sodeoka this afternoon. So far it's only had 303 views but I reckon that will rise pretty chop chop as both the song and video are fantastic. The announcement came in an e-mail that describes the tune as 'a never-ending, undulating slice of face-melting techno' - and I concur.
'Youth In Trouble' will be available for purchase on itunes tomorrow - along with a three track remix EP featuring remixes by Green Velvet, Alex Metric, and The Finger Prince & Light Year. As a bonus you can get a free download of 'The Finger Prince & Light Year Remix' now by signing up for the Modular Newsletter here: http://www.modularpeople.com/subscribe/s/?cf=eyJhcnRpc3RzX3RoZV9wcmVzZXRzIjoxLCJkb3dubG9hZF9jb2RlIjoidGhlcHJlc2V0c3lpdHJlbWl4In0=&wt=ZG93bmxvYWRfdGhlX3ByZXNldHNfcmVtaXg=
And if a new song, new video, and free download isn't enough exciting Presets news for you - the band have also just announced a series of North American dates in October that includes a show in Vancouver! The band will be performing at The Commodore on October 15th - tickets go on sale this Saturday at 10am at Ticketmaster: http://www.ticketmaster.ca/event/110048D7833110C0?artistid=1103261&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=60
I saw them at The Commodore on their last tour and it was amazing both sonically and visually, so if you're a fan I highly recommend checking them out. And now - here's the new video for 'Youth In Trouble' - I love this song... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Miike Snow!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Miike Snow featuring Lykke Li - 'Black Tin Box'/ Miike Snow - 'Devil's Work' (Alex Metric Remix)
Swedish electronic pop trio Miike Snow have just released their new album online this week! 'Happy To You' is the band's second album and the follow up to their self titled 2009 debut. There will be several versions of the release available - the deluxe digital version features 14 songs - two regular tracks plus two additional remixes, along with two video tracks and is available now on itunes.
The album will also be released physically on a single cd, double cd, and on vinyl on March 26th (U.K.)/ 27th (North America). The single disc features only ten tracks, the vinyl has all 12, and the 'Happy To You' Deluxe Edition double cd features the same 12, plus the two remixes featured on the deluxe digital version, plus an additional three remixes exclusive to this package!
'Black Tin Box' is not a single - yet - but I suspect it will be soon. It's certainly one of the album's standout tracks and it features guest vocals from fellow Swedish singer Li Lykke Timotej Svensson Zachrisson aka Lykke Li... Enjoy!
This is one of the remixes featured on both the deluxe digital and double cd version of 'Happy To You' - a remix of the album track 'Devil's Work' by Alex Metric... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Remixes! Depeche Mode!
SummersRadio™ New Remixes! As you may have noticed by my enthusiasm for the new Depeche Mode remix album in previous posts - I am a longtime Mode fan! Clearly I'm not the only one, as the April 7th post of Alex Metric's remix of 'Personal Jesus' sits at number 1 on my most viewed posts - with a very comfortable lead over all the others in the top 10! And here we are two months later - and 'Remixes 2: 81-11' is finally released!
So today we shall celebrate with 2 more of the new 2011 remixes - including one which isn't even on the cd! I was checking out today's new releases on itunes earlier and noticed that they list 39 tracks for the 'Deluxe Version' - which is the equivalent of the 3cd set. But the cd has 37 tracks... first I noticed that there's an edited version of Alex Metric's remix of 'Personal Jesus' - but unless it's radically different who really wants an edited version?! Then I saw the other additonal track - not just an edit, but another brand new 2011 remix! 'Master And Servant' (RSS Remix) is a remix exclusive to itunes - and the good news is that there's none of the 'album purchase only' restrictive nonsense that itunes occasionally uses to screw it's customers with! So if you plan on buying the physical cd like myself you can download this one exclusive remix on it's own. And if that's not good enough news I must also say that it's an awesome remix - it even has some squelchy acid techno bits in it!
This is the new 'RSS Remix' of 'Master And Servant'... Enjoy!
Another one of the new remixes that I was eager to hear - but it wasn't posted anywhere on the interweb yet - was the Joebot remix of 'A Question Of Time'. Well it's surfaced now of course - here's the 'Joebot Presents "Radio Face" Remix'... Enjoy!

And if 13 new remixes isn't notable enough this release will also be the first time that both current and former members of the band have worked on the same project - as it features remixes from both Alan Wilder and Vince Clarke!
'Personal Jesus 11' is going to be released as an official single from 'Remixes 2: 81-11'- here's one of 3 new remixes of the song - this one by London's Alex Metric... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Alex Metric & Steve Angello!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Alex Metric & Steve Angello - 'Open Your Eyes' (Original Mix) I actually first posted this song last September (via the SummersRadio™ Facebook group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=366897324071), but then when I wanted to repost it during my Best Of 2010 listings all I could find was a preview snippet - and I don't like snippets!
Someone had obviously posted the song well before it was time, as it's only been released exclusively on Beatport this week - and even now it's only available in certain countries - and still not in Canada! Regardless, London's Alex Metric and Stockholm's Steve Angello have created a club masterpiece. With it's many varied sounds and tempo changes it manages to sound like a whole night full of great music in just over 7 minutes!
I've been a fan of Alex Metric's work for many years and although I find some of Steve Angello's music a bit too mainstream for my taste, this is a good pairing - a nice mix of underground and popular sounds - I particularly like the Daft Punk-y part about 2:15 in... Enjoy!
