Bonus track! Mike Oldfield - 'In High Places' The opening vocal hook in 'You Are a Tourist' when Ben sings 'this fire grows higher' totally reminds me of this Mike Oldfield song 'In High Places'. 'In High Places' is from his 1983 release 'Crisis' and was co-written with - and features vocals from - Jon Anderson. Now that I listen to this again, it almost sounds like it could be a DCFC song - am I crazy? I think not... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Best Of 2010! Danger Mouse & Sparklehorse Featuring Gruff Rhys - 'Just War' After much delay the collaboration between Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse - called 'present Dark Night Of The Soul' finally saw light of day with a proper release in July of this year. Delays were apparently caused by a legal dispute between EMI and Danger Mouse - but then tragically in March Mark Linkous - the leader of Sparklehorse - committed suicide so he never got to see it released. Sad indeed but the gift left behind is a masterpiece so I will feature several tracks from it - the album is an indie rock lovers paradise featuring collaborations with legends such as Frank Black and Iggy Pop. While we may not have achieved world peace this holiday season there's still next year... this is 'Just War' featuring Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals and Neon Neon - the song is accompanied by fitting visuals from a 1983 Soviet anti-war film called 'Konflict' by Garri Bardin - Enjoy!

Crystal Castles recorded 'Not In Love' from their latest self-titled album with member/ producer Ethan Kath on vocals, but they are releasing a new version of it as their next single - featuring The Cure's Robert Smith on vocals! The song was originally written and performed by Platinum Blonde in 1983 (for those who weren't born yet they were sometimes referred to as Canada's 'Duran Duran') - the song reached the top 20 when it was released as their fourth single from their debut album in '84. I wonder if Robert knew... Enjoy!
