SummersRadio™ New Music + Free Download! Scenic - 'Hours On End'
Scenic have just released their new EP called 'Shockwaves' today! Scenic are a four piece 'cosmic pop' band from Perth, Australia who note Air and Primal Scream as artists they like on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/scenicband
'Shockwaves' is the band's second EP - the follow up to 2011's 'Another Sky' - and it's available worldwide as of today on iTunes on the Future Classic label. As a bonus they're giving away one of the tracks on the five song EP for free. 'Hours On End' is a surreal ultra dreamy tune and if it's to your liking you can download a copy for free on Soundcloud here: https://soundcloud.com/futureclassic/scenic-hours-on-end-free
Classixx are releasing their debut album called 'Hanging Gardens'! The Californian production duo are releasing their debut on May 15th on the Future Classic label. 'All You're Waiting For' is the second single from the forthcoming album (following 'Holding On') and it features the lovely vocals of LCD Soundsystem's Nancy Whang who has a certain sweetness and sincerity in her voice that is reminiscent of the Human League.
Disco is back (not that it ever really went away) - Daft Punk says so. This is 'All You're Waiting For'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Flume featuring Moon Holiday - 'Insane'
Flume has just released his self titled debut album! Here we go with our third Australian electronic artist in a row (and no this wasn't pre-planned) from Perth to Melbourne to Sydney - where we find Harley Streten aka Flume. His full length debut features fifteen tracks - it's released on the Future Classic label and it's available now on itunes worldwide.
Flume mixes elements of both hip hop and electronic music and it's his ace production that really makes this album stand out. 'Insane' is my favourite song on 'Flume' thus far - the sixth track which features the vocals of another Sydney artist signed to the Future Classic label - Alexandra Ward aka Moon Holiday.
I like the clean layered synth sounds - the almost 'Time To Pretend' shuffle - Moon Holiday's vocals - and the lyrics on this one. This is a great song to space out and think your mad thoughts to... Enjoy!
