SummersRadio™ New Music! Luke Kosmas - 'Shock In Your Mind' (Original Mix)
1605 Music Therapy have just released the latest in their 'Platform' series - 'Platform Vol. 18'! It's been a while since we've posted a track from this series but it's an EP of four or five new tracks on the label that's released every month or so. The cover art is unique as always:
So it's Friday night - time for a lively one - a club monster if you will. Presenting the fifth track on the EP from Italy's Luke Kosmas - 'Shock Your Mind' will certainly liven things up for you... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Remix! Eric Sneo & Chris The Voice - 'Shut Up & Dance' (Eric Sneo's Night On Fire Mix)
Germany's Eric Schnecko aka Eric Sneo has just released a new EP called 'Shut Up & Dance' today! The title track first appeared on Sneo's latest album called 'Polarity' which was released in March on the Mudra Audio label. The new three track EP features the original version as well as remixes from Pleasurekraft and Sneo himself. The EP is released on the 1605 Music Therapy label and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/#release/shut-up-and-dance/958172
'Shut Up & Dance' is about losing yourself in the music and forgetting about what kind of day you had - or what anyone thinks while you do so - as the 'Moderator Of Comfort' Chris The Voice advises. It's Sneo's own remix that's the standout here - he kicks up the energy level of original several notches to an irresistible level... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! DJ Fronter - 'I Do Not Understand' (Original Mix)
Jumping Jehoshaphats! There sure have been a lot of amazing trippy techno/ electronic songs released in the last couple weeks - and today we have another one!
DJ Fronter is an artist/ producer from Cali, Colombia who's just released a new EP called 'ADN'. The EP features two tracks - the title track and this song called 'I Do Not Understand'. It's released on Umek's 1065 Music Therapy label and it's currently available exlcusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/#release/adn-ep/939923
As isthe case more often than one might think it's the b-side on the 'ADN' EP that is most to my liking. I concur with the label's description of the track- "I Do Not Understand" is the equivalent of a sonic monster, with pitched vocals over a sharp rhythm section. Meanwhile, an aggressive bassline and constant rises kick things up a notch or three."
The cover art is also intriguing as always - it looks a bit like a headless horse - EEP! Enjoy...!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Ahmet Sendil - 'You So Strong' (Original Mix)
Istanbul, Turkey's Ahmet Sendil has just released a massive new song called 'You So Strong'! The single is just one track - I reckon because anything else would only pale in comparison. It's released on the 1605 Music Therapy label and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/#release/you-so-strong/919974
I haven't quite figured out what the speaker/ guide is saying during this ride yet - but it certainly sounds ominous - prepare yourself for lift off... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Ant Brooks - 'Skreamer' (Original Mix)
Ant Brooks has just released his new EP called 'Skreamer' this week! The Coventry, England artist/ producer's new EP features two tracks - the title track and a song called 'Kymo'. It's released on the 1605 Music Therapy label and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/#release/skreamer-ep/912839
'Skreamer' is a lively semi-disco house number that features some wickedly hypnotic keyboard bits that work their way in around the two minute mark. They sound a bit like the string sound one might hear in a slasher film - but altered - perhaps that's where the title comes from. Regardless this uplifting tune is guaranteed to liven up your weekend - this is 'Skreamer'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Umek & Uto Karem - 'Crossing The Lines' (Original Mix)
Slovenia's Father of techno Umek and Italy's Uto Karem have released a new collaboration this week! 'Crossing The Lines' is a peppy groove filled two track single featuring this original mix and a remix from Ramon Tapia, and it's released on Umek's 1605 Music Therapy label.
They've also dug up some rather trippy black and white film footage for the video - this is 'Crossing The Lines'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Alex Di Stefano - 'Funky Prison' (Original Mix)/ Superjunk - 'Kabeen' Just two weeks after the release of the first volume of 1605 Music Therapy's already amazing new sampler series 'Platform' - they've unleashed volume two! Like the first volume, 'Platform Vol. 2' features five brand new tracks of 'grade A techno and tech house' - and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport here: http://www.beatport.com/#release/sixteenofive-platform-vol-2/858606
These are my two favorites out of the five so far - beginning with track one from Italy's Alex Di Stefano - this is 'Funky Prison'... Enjoy!
This is the fourth track on the new 'Platform Vol. 2' sampler from Tunisia's Superjunk - the supremely funky 'Kabeen'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Hellomonkey - 'Yes' (Original Mix)/ Pe & Ban and DJ Mandraks - 'The Sound Of The Drums' (Original Mix)
1605 Music Therapy are off to a fiery hot start (it is going to be the year of the dragon afterall - although one of the artists name's here involves a monkey!) in 2012 with a brand new mini compilation called 'Platform Vol. 1'! (currently available exclusively on Beatport here: http://www.beatport.com/#release/sixteenofive-platform-vol-1/853544) It's actually the first release in a new series from the label - of samplers featuring all new tracks. Volume one features five new songs - which 1605 describes as '5 tracks of grade-A techno and tech house' - and I agree with them 100%!
Although all five tracks on 'Platform Vol. 1' are really good, I've chosen my two favorite songs to post - the first and last tracks on the compilation/ EP - but I shall begin with the last, and finish with the first. :) This is track five on the EP from Hellomonkey (aka Andrewboy aka Lucky Orgia) - an artist from Budapest Hungary - and this is his new song called 'Yes'. I like the rather minimal yet positive lyrics - especially with the awesome production around 3:15 in... Enjoy!
This is the first track on the 'Platform Vol. 1' mini compilation/ EP - from Pe & Ban and DJ Mandraks - who all hail from Brazil - called 'The Sound Of The Drums'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music + Free Download! Umek - 'Split'/ 'Falling Up The Stairs' Slovenia's Umek has just released a brand new EP today - just in time for your New Year's Eve parties! The 'Split' EP features two tracks - the title song - which is a homage to the city of the same name in Croatia - and 'Sunday At El Row' - which is a tribute to the El Row club in Barcelona. The EP is released on his 1605 Music Therapy label and is currently available exclusively on Beatport. http://www.beatport.com/#release/split-ep/851150
This is the title track 'Split'... Enjoy!
Bonus Track + Free Download! Umek also released a new song online last week as a free Christmas gift called 'Falling Up The Stairs'. I decided not to post it at the time because although he's released a number of great tracks in the past as free downloads (Fenaton 2011 comes to mind), I didn't find 'Falling Up The Stairs' to be one of his stronger tracks. I'm not particularly fond of the vocal sample in this one - and it loops throughout the entire song. So while I didn't think it worthy of leading it's own post - it's fine as a bonus track - and you certainly can't complain about the price!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Bass Kleph - 'Riff Machine' (Mladin Tomic Remix)/ (Original Mix) I was commenting on some of itunes dubious new releases earlier, but of course no one music download site is perfect. You know it's nearing December and there are fewer new releases coming out when Beatport's new list of '10 Must Hear Techno Tracks' only features 9 songs! And truth be told, you don't really need to hear any of them. After listening to them I thought what we need is a new track from Umek and 1605 to liven things up - and as luck would have it I soon spotted this brand new exclusive track from Bass Kleph on 1605 - and it's awesome! But while Beatport certainly wins in the exclusive electronic new release category, of course itunes is about half the price for most songs.
So if you use both sites you know that if a new release is exlusive to Beatport it will usually (but not always) arrive on itunes two or three weeks later. So the question is - do you buy the track on Beatport for $2.49 now, or wait a few weeks until it's 99 cents on itunes? Of course that depends on the track in question - for me, if I really like a song, I must own a copy chop-chop!
Bass Kelph's new 'Riff Machine' EP features three versions of the title song - the 'Original Mix', the 'Mladen Tomic Remix', and the 'Hertz Remix'. I like all three versions - I checked out the 'Original Mix' first - and it won me over pretty quick with it's amazing production and wicked keyboard sounds. But then I checked out the 'Mladen Tomic Remix' and I think I might just like it even more - there are fewer keyboard hooks, but the bassline sounds a bit different and it has more swagger to it. I dig the 'Hertz Remix' too, but I've decided that I must buy the first two mixes now, and I can wait until the 'Hertz Remix' is on itunes to get it cheaper! :)
So first we have the second track on the 'Riff Machine' EP - this remix is by Mladen Tomic - a dj/ producer from Banja Luka Bosnia... Enjoy!
This is the also great 'Original Mix' of 'Riff Machine'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music + Concert News! Pleasurekraft - 'Satyr Song' (Umek Remix) Umek's 1605 Music Therapy label have released their latest single this week! Pleasurekraft's 'Satyr Song' is their new single - which features the original mix and a remix from Umek himself.

SummersRadio™ New Music! Umek - 'Zagreb EP' Hot on the heels of last week's new 'Remixed At 16:05 Vol. 2' compilation comes a new EP from Umek and his 1605 Music Therapy label! It's called the 'Zagreb EP' - it has two tracks - the title song and 'Promise Land' - and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport. Both are postworthy, but we shall begin with the tech-house track 'Promise Land' (Original Mix)... Enjoy!
And this is the title track 'Zagreb' (Original Mix)... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Remixes! Lutzenkirchen - 'Somebody' (Spektre Remix)/ Christian Cambas - 'Fireball' (Lutzenkirchen Remix) Both of these brand new remixes are also featured on the excellent new 1605 Music Therapy compilation called 'Remixed At 16:05 Vol. 2' - which is out today! This first track is a new remix of Lutzenkirchen's single from last summer called 'Somebody' - by the U.K. duo Spektre... Enjoy!
Munich's Lutzenkirchen takes his turn remixing on this Christian Cambas track which was first released last November - this is 'Fireball' - the new 'Lutzenkirchen Remix' - Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Remixes! Marco Bailey & Tom Hades - 'Tienen' (Da Fresh Remix)/ Da Fresh - 'Once Again' (Hertz Remix) Umek's 1605 Music Therapy label have just released a new compilation today! It's called 'Remixed At 16:05 Vol. 2' - the follow up to Volume 1 of course - which was released way back in December 2009. It features 10 new remixes from the Slovenian label. If you're looking for some tuneage to liven up your Monday you've just found it! First up we have the Marco Bailey & Tom Hades track 'Tienen' remixed by France's Da Fresh... Enjoy!
In addition to the Da Fresh remix above, the new 1605 compilation 'Remixed At 16:05 Vol. 2' also features a remix of one of one of Arnaud Caschera's aka Da Fresh's own compositions - this is the new 'Hertz Remix' of 'Once Again'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Umek - 'Get Sucked' You can always count on Slovenia's Umek and his label 1605 Music Therapy for a great club tune - and his latest release out this week is no exception! This is the 'Original Mix' - and the only mix thus far - of 'Get Sucked'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Remix! + Free Download! Umek - 'Fenaton 2011' Slovenia's Umek has released a new remix of his track called 'Fenaton' and he's made it available as a free download! 'Fenaton' was originally released on the Bugged Out label back in 2002. Umek has now remixed the track and released it on his own 1605 Music Therapy label - along with this highlarious video! This is 'Fenaton 2011' - and if the track is to your liking you can download it for free here courtesy of Umek himself: http://soundcloud.com/sixteenofive/umek-fenaton-2011 This bird knows how to party... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! A.K.O. - 'Acceleration' (Original Mix) A.K.O. is a dj/ production duo consisting of Matvienko Nikolay and Oleg Zheleznyi - who are from Belgorod Russia. Their song 'Acceleration' is another standout track on the new 'Spring Schlagers' compilation from 1605 Music Therapy... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Cristian Varela - 'Plastic Tits' 1605 Music Therapy has just released a new label compilation called 'Spring Schlagers'! It contains 37 tracks including this one from Madrid's Cristian Varela - with a techno/ disco hybrid that borrows bits of the 1978 disco classic 'Let's All Chant' by the Michael Zager Band. This is 'Plastic Tits'... Enjoy!
And just for a laugh I thought I'd post the original Michael Zager Band song as well - so you can bask in the 70's glow... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Hertz & Subway Baby - 'Rejoice' (Original Mix) Swedish duo Hertz and Tommy Nygren aka Subway Baby have just released a new EP today! It's called 'Rejoice' and it has two tracks - the title song and 'Strategic Impact' - and it's released on the 1605 label.
This is the title track 'Rejoice' - and there are definitely some major 80's production influences on this one. I hear the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Bobby Orlando - and Dead Or Alive's club classic from 1985 - 'Lover Come Back To Me'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Stefano Noferini - 'Words' Italy's Stefano Noferini has released another new single - hot on the heels of last month's excellent 'Bibong' EP on the revamped Azuli label! 'Words' is released on the 1605 Music Therapy label - and it's a bouncy hypnotic tune - almost like a disco/ ska/ house hybrid... Enjoy!
