'The Death Of You And Me' is not an all-conquering monster - but still a decent tune. It's no 'Don't Look Back In Anger' (the first Oasis single to feature Noel on lead vocals) - but you can still certainly hear the Beatles influences. Sales so far this week seem to agree - it's not going to hit number 1 - but it is expected to crack the top 10 on next week's charts. 'The Death Of You And Me' is available as a cd and vinyl single - as well as a download in the U.K. - but it's not even on itunes yet here in Canada!
'The Death Of You And Me' is the first single from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds self titled (sort of) debut album which is due for release on October 17th. This is the video for the song - and it appears to be setting up some sort of story line - something about a mysterious stranger (Noel perhaps?) having a fondness for shagging in old school wagons apparently :) This is 'The Death Of You And Me'...
