Christopher Owens has just released a new song online called 'It Comes Back To You'. 'It Comes Back To You' is the first new song to surface from the former Girls frontman's second solo album - the follow up to last year's 'Lysandre'.

There s no album title or release date to announce yet but Owens just posted this song on Facebook and Soundcloud saying 'Here's a song from a new album I've made with dear friends, it's thrilling for me to finally be able to share this—Xo'.

Girls have released a second video from the album - for their catchy new single 'Honey Bunny'. While the song's theme is similar - looking for love - this is a more lighthearted take on the subject - both lyrically and sonically. Singer Christopher Owens pokes fun at himself and his struggle with drugs with lines like 'They don't like my boney body/ They don't like my dirty hair/ Or the stuff that I say/ Or the stuff that I'm on' - but he has fun in the process. He's quite the seducer here - and he's clearly too sexy for a full length shirt!
'Honey Bunny' is officially released as a single next week - both digitally and on a limited 7" - this is the new Girls video for 'Honey Bunny'... Enjoy!

Girls are set to release their second full length album called 'Father, Son, Holy Ghost' on September 13th, and they've just released the first song from it called 'Vomit' as a free download!
I've heard this track being compared to Spiritualized - which certainly got my attention - and it is similar is some ways... from the meek yearning romantic vocals of lead singer Christopher Owens, to the epic gospel style backup vocals - plus the organ - but the guitars sound much more American. SummersRadio™ Classics! Death In Vegas - 'Girls'/ 'Help Yourself' The new Death In Vegas song 'Your Loft My Acid' that I posted yesterday got me thinking of some of their earlier material - 'Scorpio Rising' was in fact my favorite album of 2002! So I thought I'd post a couple tracks from it in case you haven't heard them in a while - or ever!
'Girls' is the opening track on the album and was featured in the movie (and soundtrack to) 'Lost In Translation'. This is a fan made video that features footage from various 1960's drug awareness films... Enjoy!
'Help Yourself' is the majestic closing track on the 'Scorpio Rising' cd and features vocals from Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval... Enjoy!
