SummersRadio™ Rare Remix! Electric Light Orchestra - 'Last Train To London' (House de la Funk Remix)

As noted in yesterday's Chemical Brothers post it seems that people are bringing E.L.O. back - from Boston's Magnetic Fields to Manchester's Coronation Street - or at least some people in their respective crews are :) So I thought I'd do my part for Canada by posting a rare remix of their song 'Last Train To London' from their number one album from 1979 called 'Discovery'.

E.L.O. were from Birmingham England and were pretty cool back in the day - they used both keyboards and an orchestra prominently - and they even later toured with a spaceship stage complete with lasers! 'Last Train To London' was released as a double A-side single coupled with 'Confusion' and it reached the top 10 in the U.K. at the end of 1979 and it scraped into the top 40 in North American at the start of 1980.

This is a rare remix by House de la Funk - a one man project from Pereira Colombia. This is his house remix from 2009 - although quite frankly he didn't have to change too much as it was already a great dance tune with an awesome bassline and massive keyboard hooks... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Remix! Boys Noize - 'Adonis' (Mark E Acid Dub Remix) Boys Noize have released a new EP of remixes of their rather festive sounding single 'Adonis'! 'Adonis' was first released last September and now the 'Adonis Remixes' EP featuring the original - plus five new remixes - is out on the Cocoon Recordings label.

This is one of two remixes in the package by Birmingham's Mark E - the spacey acid tinged 'Mark E Acid Dub Remix'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Concert News + New Remix + Free Download! Trentemoller!

SummersRadio™ Concert News + New Remix + Free Download! Trentemoller -'Moan' (Enigma Dubz Remix) Just announced today - Trentemoller is returning to Vancouver on November 2nd! Trentemoller follows up his performance at Venue in April with another show (with his band) at the Commodore on November 2nd - tickets go on sale tomorrow morning.

James Vine aka Enigma Dubz is a musician/ producer from Birmingham England. He's releasing a new EP called 'Let's Go' on his Dank 'N' Dirty Dubz label - a collaboration with Keith Stewart aka Sub Antix - a dj/ producer from Vancouver! The EP will be available on both itunes and Beatport on August 16th. In the meantime Enigma Dubz have made this remix of Trentemoller's 'Moan' available as a free download which you can get here:
