SummersRadio™ New Compilation! Bedrock Records - 'The Underground Sound Of Miami' Maher Daniel & Casa (aka Mike Casa) - 'Music, Machines & Life' (Original Mix)/ Mark Reeve, Dean Demanuele, Pig & Dan - 'Machines' (Original Mix)/ Robert Babicz - 'Echo From The Past' (Original Mix)
Today marks the final day of this year's Winter Music Conference - which has been held annually each March in Miami since 1985! This year marks this first year that Bedrock Records (the label started by John Digweed and Nick Muir in 1999) has released their own label sampler for the event. 'The Underground Sound Of Miami' features ten exclusive new tracks (unmixed) and is currently available exclusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/#release/underground-sound-of-miami/876736
I've chosen three standout tracks to feature - two spacey techno numbers involving machines, and an uplifting echo from the past. First up we have the sixth track on the compilation from Maher Daniel and Casa (aka Mike Casa) called 'Music, Machines & Life'... Enjoy!
This is the eighth track on the compilation from Mark Reeve, Dean Demanuele, and Pig & Dan - with another trippy tune about music an machines - this one is simply called 'Machines'... Enjoy!
This is the third track on the compilation - a new uplifting progressive house tune from Germany's Robert Babicz called 'Echo From The Past'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Compilation! Weekend In Amsterdam! Roman Gertz - 'Elastic Mind'/ Dataminions - 'Park'/ Axel Karakasis - 'Waveshaper' Respekt Recordings is a U.K. label started in 2009 by the techno duo Spektre. They've just released their latest compilation called 'Mutual Respekt: Weekend In Amsterdam' today! The compilation features seven brand new tracks and is released in celebration of the Amsterdam Dance Event - an annual electronic music conference that started in 1996.
I haven't been to Amsterdam yet - but I suspect that it will be to my liking when I do go - as the city seems to have a fondess for both fine weed and fine techno! This is a very solid release - all seven songs are expertly produced specimens of peak hour techno madness - it's Monday night but it feels like weekend again just listening to 'Weekend In Amsterdam'!
I couldn't choose just one song to feature - or two - so today we have a threesome of sorts. Let's begin with the second track on the compilation - 'Elastic Mind' from Roman Gertz... Enjoy!
Now that Roman Gertz has made your mind elastic... I hear some music coming from over there in the park - let's go check it out! I like the name Dataminions - being a big fan of the word 'minion' itself - this is 'Park' - the fourth track on the new 'Weekend In Amsterdam' compilation. I like the disco influence about one minute in... Enjoy!
Do we have time for one more? Yes. Let's wrap up at the beginning - with track one on 'Weekend In Amsterdam' - just released today! (and currently available exclusively on Beatport) This is Axel Karakasis - 'Waveshaper'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Compilation! Mo's Ferry Great Cinema Show! Luka & Lazo - 'Dust No. 4' (Barem Remix) Mo's Ferry Prod. is a German minimal house label currently based in Berlin - and their new compilation is called 'Mo's Ferry Great Cinema Show'!
The compilation features 15 tracks including this classic from Luka & Lazo - 'Dust No.4' (Barem Remix) - which was first released as a single in 2007. Luka & Lazo are Luka Cipek and Ivica Lazarevic - a duo from Zagreb Croatia.
This song is a great club tune to get lost in. Although booming in nature, it starts off rather subtley - but once you're a couple minutes in - it dawns on you what a great groove this is! This is the 'Barem Remix' of 'Dust No. 4'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Compilation! 'Best Of Sleaze Volume 3' Tony Rohr & Tim Xavier 'ACB Experiment' (Gary Beck Remix)/ Monoloc - 'Nohouse' (Original Mix)
Sleaze Records is a techno/ minimal label based in Glasgow Scotland and the U.K. that was started by Stephan Gorrie aka dj/ producer Hans Bouffmyher in 2008. 'Best Of Sleaze Volume 3' features 18 tracks - it's currently available exclusively on Beatport - and it's fairly evenly split between original mixes and remixes. Starting with the first two tracks seems like a fitting introduction - this is the opening track from Tony Rohr & Tim Xavier called the 'ACB Experiment' (Gary Beck Remix)... Enjoy!
And this is track two on the new Sleaze Records Compilation called 'Best Of Sleaze Volume 3' - Monoloc's 'Nohouse' (Original Mix)... Enjoy!
