SummersRadio™ New Music! Miss Kittin & Nicolas Masseyeff - 'June' (Original Mix)/ 'My Man' (Original Mix)
Miss Kitten & Nicolas Masseyeff have released a new EP called 'June'! The 'June' EP features four tracks - two versions of the title track (the 'Original Mix' plus the 'String Dub Mix') as well as songs called 'Cut The Crap' and 'My Man'. It's released on Mobilee Records and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport: https://pro.beatport.com/release/june/1543608
'June' is a song in praise of the month we're in - and summer in general - and it features some nice acid techno bits... Enjoy!
Both b-sides - 'Cut The Crap' and 'My Man' - are purchase worthy as well. I particularly like the vocal effects on 'My Man'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Dubfire Featuring Miss Kittin - 'Exit' (Original Mix)
Dubfire has released a new EP with Miss Kittin called 'Exit'! The 'Exit' EP features three tracks - the original, an instrumental version and a song called 'Midian'. It's released on Dubfire's own SCI+TEC label and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/release/exit/1324281
Miss Kittin needs help - she wants to go outside - but apparently there are no 'Exit' signs to be found. Why would she want to leave when the music - and vocal effects - are this good anyway?
'Calling From The Stars' features one cover song - of REM's classic tearjerker 'Everybody Hurts' from their 1992 album 'Automatic For The People'... Enjoy!
The film/ video is directed by Andrew Woodhead and it features plenty of neon lights, lots of legs, dancers - and of course the charming Miss Kittin. It's also a bit comical - I don't think we're supposed to take the black and blue lips (sometimes with teeth!) too seriously.
Regardless it's a very chic video about a shy boy that fits the song perfectly... Enjoy!
Both songs are from her new double album 'Calling From The Stars' which is released April 22nd on the wSphere label. The new single 'Bassline' and it's b-side 'Come Into My House' (which will also be included on the new album) are available on itunes now. There will also be an EP released on April 8th featuring the following tracklisting:
Bassline EP out on April 8th on wSphere. 01. Bassline (radio edit) 02. Bassline 03. Bassline (Djedjotronic remix) 04. Motown 05. I Don't Know How To Move
'Bassline' is a song about someone that Miss Kittin fancies - but they're just too darn shy. Gasp! Could it be me? :) The song features some great vocal effects - so far the 'Radio Edit' is the only version available to buy and share - but I look forward to hearing the full song and remix in April... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music + Free Download! Miss Kittin - 'Life Is My Teacher'
Miss Kittin has just released a new single and EP called 'Life Is My Teacher' today! The EP features four tracks - the original mix of the title track, plus a 'Borderline Remix' -along with the songs 'I.L.A.N.E.N.O.' and 'Tamarin Bay'. It's released on the Nobody's Bizzness/ wSphere labels and the full EP is available on itunes as of today.
Miss Kittin will be releasing her new full length album - a double one no less - entitled 'Calling From The Stars' on April 22nd. As an added bonus she's made the original mix of 'Life Is My Teacher' available as a free download on Soundcloud for a limited time here: http://soundcloud.com/misskittin/life-is-my-teacher (or simply click on the download arrow below)
I like the lyrics on this one - as it's true that we do learn everyday - some more so than others of course... Enjoy!
Kris Menace has just released a new album and a remix EP for his new single featuring Miss Kittin! His new full length artist album is called 'Features' - which has thirteen tracks - with each track featuring a different guest vocalist. Some of the other guests include Robert Owens, Romanthony, and Julian Hamilton from The Presets.
'Hide' featuring Miss Kittin is the first single and remix EP released from the album - the EP includes five new remixes of the song and it's also available now on itunes. Like all songs that feature Miss Kittin - it's a good one! Let's begin with this brand new animated video version... Enjoy!
Out of the five remixes of 'Hide' Leipzig, Germany's PWNDTIAC remix is most to my liking as it takes the original in a more hypnotic techno direction... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ 2 Year Anniversary!! New Music!Lola Dutronic - 'S.O.S.'
Today marks the 2nd Anniversary of SummersRadio™'s official blog! Although the Facebook group began six months prior and we actually began posting as such on Facebook in 2008, we officially transitioned into a blog two years ago today! So we're up to 891 posts so far (with many that feature more than one song) - that's a lot of quality new music :) I hope you're enjoying it - many thanks to each and every one of you who've viewed and listened so far - Cheers!!
Both 'Everybody Loves You When You're Dead' and 'S.O.S.' are from their latest album called 'Everyone's A Star' which is available on itunes. 'S.O.S.' is a brilliant cover of Dire Straits first hit single - 1979's 'Sultans Of Swing' from their self titled debut album.
I had fun playing this song for a few people who recognized or even knew the lyrics, but couldn't name the original - it drove them crazy until the chorus. That's because musically speaking 'S.O.S.' is quite the metamorphosis - from British pub rock to European electro pop - and singer Stephanie B's vocals are more akin to the lovely Miss Kittin than the rather gruff Mark Knopfler... Enjoy!
France's Olivier Raymond aka Oxia has just released a new remix EP for his single with Miss Kittin called 'Housewife'! 'Housewife' first appeared as a track from Oxia's second solo album called 'Tides Of Mind' which was released in May on the InFine label.
I love Miss Kittin's vocals - she can make the most ordinary words sound interesting, seductive and fun! It's her own remix of the song in this package that's most to my liking here. She transforms the bass heavy housey original into a full on space disco adventure - this is 'Miss Kittin's Wipeout Mix' of 'Housewife'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ New Music + Bonus Track! Miss Kittin - 'Girlz' (Original Mix)/ 'Silver Lake' (includes free download)
Caroline Herve aka Miss Kittin has just released a new single this week called 'Girlz'! The song is one of three tracks on a new EP released on the U.K. label Heidi called 'Heidi Presents Jackathon Jams'.
As the title of the EP suggests the tunes here are party songs! The always lovely Miss Kittin is shaking it in the hood over a deep bassline covered in ever changing synth layers that will soon have you shaking along as well... Enjoy!
Bonus Track! 'Silver Lake' is a track that Miss Kitten released on Soundcloud last year to help promote Soul Aid - a program to raise money for an emergency relief organization called Civic Force - that has been helping Japan since the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. You can learn more about Soul Aid and donate here: http://soulaid.org/

SummersRadio™ New Music! Miss Kittin - 'All You Need' Miss Kittin has just released her new 3 song EP on the Mobilee label called 'All You Need'! It includes this original version plus remixes from Lee Van Dowski and Gesaffelstein and is currently available exclusively on Beatport. (www.beatport.com) Enjoy...
SummersRadio™ Classic! Golden Boy with Miss Kittin - 'After 8' Zurich's Golden Boy along with France's Caroline Herve - better known as Miss Kittin - released their collaboration cd 'Or' in 2002. This is one of those classic album tracks that should have been released as a single with remixes, but it never was - but that's ok because the original is perfect just as it is! Cuckoo! Cuckoo! It's 8 o'clock! Mmmm - space cakes... Enjoy!
