Booka Shade have just released their new single 'Love Inc' online today! 'Love Inc' is the first single from the Berlin duo's forthcoming fifth studio album called 'Eve'.
The original version of 'Love Inc' is set for release on October 4th exclusively on Beatport - with more remixes and a 12" vinyl single scheduled for two weeks later on the 18th. The album 'Eve' will be out on November 1st on the Blaufield Music label - you can download 'Love Inc' now if you pre-order the album on iTunes.
'Love Inc' has the air of a classic disco song - but with ominous synths/ strings that add a more serious tone - as it asks you 'are you happy?'... Enjoy!

Booka Shade are releasing a new limited edition EP called 'Haleshop' on Monday! The full EP will only be available as a limited edition hand stamped white label vinyl on January 14th. The EP features three brand new tracks - the title track and the songs 'Chateau Rouge' and 'Karrera'. Berlin duo Booka Shade have just released a new EP called 'Honeyslave'! The four track EP features two versions of the title track and two versions of 'Tomorrow Belongs To Us', and is released on the Los Angeles label Dim Mak Records. It's available now on both itunes and Beatport (once again just half the price on itunes).
The original versions of both songs first appeared in June on a compilation called 'All Gone Ibiza 2012' mixed by Pete Tong and Booka Shade - but the two new remixes are exclusive to this new EP released this week. I particularly like the old school 'French Kiss' style swagger and drifting vocoder bits in this 'Club Mix' of the b-side 'Tomorrow Belongs To Us'... Enjoy!
SummersRadio™ 500th Post!!! Classic! Model 500 - 'Neptune' Today we hit a milestone - our 500th post - and in less than a year - hoo-ray!! It seems fitting to begin the celebration with a classic - so a song featuring the 'Godfather Of Techno' is apt. Model 500 is a pseudonym for Juan Atkins - who is largely credited as the originator of techno - Detroit techno in particular - along with Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson.
'Neptune' is the third song on the five track 'Sonic Sunset' EP - which was released in 1994 on the legendary Belgian label R & S Records - and it's nothing short of an incredible piece of music that sounds just as amazing today.
This is a great weekend for concerts in Vancouver - last night Germany's techno/ minimal/ tech house duo Booka Shade (who've also recorded on the R & S label) performed an excellent live show at 560 - tonight I'm off to SHAHdj's 4th Anniversary party featuring Blu Mar Ten at the Red Room - and tomorrow synth pop pioneers the Human League are at the Rickshaw! So it's a busy weekend then, but I will post more tunes to celebrate our 500th post soon.

Pan-Pot featuring Cari Golden - 'Captain My Captain' (Booka Shade Remix) I featured a remix by Berlin duo Pan-Pot just last Wednesday (of 'Phobos') and now they've just released 3 brand new remixes of their latest single today! Their original version of 'Captain My Captain' (featuring Los Angeles vocalist Cari Golden) first came out on the Mobilee label in November, but there's now new remixes from Rodriguez Jr., Daniel Stefanik, and fellow Berlin duo Booka Shade.
