SummersRadio™ First Day Of Spring! Saint Etienne - 'Spring' (Foxbase Beta Mix) 'Spring' first appeared on Saint Etienne's debut album 'Foxbase Alpha' in 1991. This version is from the limited 2009 release 'Foxbase Beta' reproduced and remixed by Richard X. I've always liked when a singer with a beautiful voice has spoken parts in a song - and few voices are as heavenly sounding as when Sarah Cracknell says 'with the love I've got you'll forget about her...' SummersRadio™ Rare Remix! Saint Etienne!
SummersRadio™ Rare Remix! Saint Etienne - 'Only Love Can Break Your Heart' (Richard X Extended Remix) Rare is it that a cover version of a classic song done in a completely different style becomes a classic in it's own right - but such was the case in 1991 when Saint Etienne remodeled Neil Young's 'Only Love Can Break Your Heart'. This remix from 2009 by Richard X is AMAZING - kudos to Blake B. Siik for bringing this one back to the surface! Richard X actually remixed the entire 'Foxbase Alpha' album (their debut) - and it was released as 'Foxbase Beta' last November - as a limited single disc available only through Rough Trade in the U.K., and as a limited 2cd version through their 'Lovers Unite' fanclub...
