I stumbled upon an excellent remix/ edit of Iggy Pop's 'Nightclubbing' earlier this week! 'Nightclubbing' was written by David Bowie and Iggy Pop and it was first released on Pop's 1977 album 'The Idiot'.
It reached a wider audience when it was included in the film and on the soundtrack for Trainspotting in 1996. It's also been covered (Grace Jones, Human League) and sampled (Nine Inch Nails, Oasis) by numerous artists.
This trippy remix/ edit by French duo Monoblok & Pslktr was released by their label Meant Records as part of their annual X-Mas present special edit series (which they release as a free download) in 2012. It's received over 3,000 plays on Soundcloud, but it's worthy of so many more so I thought I'd share it.
If the 'Monoblok & Pslktr Edit' is to your liking you can download your copy here: https://soundcloud.com/meant/iggypop-nightclubbing-monoblok?in=meant/sets/edits_freedownload (or simply click on the download arrow below)
