SummersRadio™ New Music! Nothankyou - 'Know Yourself'
Nothankyou have just released their debut single online called 'Know Yourself'! Nothankyou are a duo - a collaboration between London's Tom Vek and Brooklyn's Olga Bell. 'Know Yourself' is released by Moshi Moshi Records and it will be available digitally and as a 7" single on August 5th.
Olga Bell's vocals remind me of Shirley Manson and Garbage's brilliant debut album - before all their songs started sounding rather sludgy. 'Know Yourself' also features some wicked cowbell action... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Remix! Beat Connection! Saint Etienne!
SummersRadio™ New Remix! Beat Connection Featuring Chelsey Scheffe - 'Think/Feel' (Saint Etienne Remix)/ (Official Video)
Seattle's Beat Connection have just released a new remix of their latest single 'Think/Feel' online! Beat Connection opened up for Saint Etienne when they performed in Seattle at Showbox last month - they also remixed Saint Etienne's track 'Last Days Of Disco' - and now the London trio has returned the favour and remixed their single 'Think/Feel'.
'Think/ Feel' is from the band's album called 'The Palace Garden' which is released on the Moshi Moshi Records label and it's available now on itunes (in the U.S.). Thus far this chilled remix is not yet available commercially so... Enjoy!
Beat Connection also recently released the official video for the original version of 'Think/Feel' which features some nice surreal dreamlike imagery... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Video + New Remix! Saint Etienne! Summer Camp!
SummersRadio™ New Video + New Remix! Saint Etienne - 'Tonight' (video premiere)/ Summer Camp - 'Losing My Mind' (Saint Etienne Remix)
London's Saint Etienne have just premiered the video for their new single 'Tonight' online today! 'Tonight' is the first single from their forthcoming eighth album entitled 'Words And Music by Saint Etienne' which is due for release in May. The release date for the single is still tbc but the band have stated on their official website (http://www.saintetienne.com/) that it will be released on both 7" and 12" vinyl, as well as on a download - and the EP will feature exclusive remixes and b-sides! The band are also touring the U.K. in May - pre-sale tickets are on sale as of today through the website.
The new album will be released as a single cd, double deluxe cd, and the band is also working on a special boxset version as well. Besides their website noted above you can also keep up with the latest Saint Etienne news on their Facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/SaintEtienneOfficial

SummersRadio™ New Music! Summer Camp!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Summer Camp - 'Better Off Without You' Summer Camp are a new duo - Jeremy Warmsley and Elizabeth Sankey - from London. Last fall they released their debut six song EP called 'Young' on the Moshi Moshi Records label. They're currently working on their full length debut album - in fact they're actually seeking pledges to help finish it! That may sound a bit desperate at first, but it's actually a pretty cool idea.
You 'pledge' by choosing from about 60 band/ fan related offers! Each one has a corresponding price - from a download copy of the new album plus 10 pledger-only updates for £8 - to a signed t-shirt for £20 - to the band writing a song about you for £250! (Only 2 left!) Regardless of what you pledge you will be entitled to an advance download of the full album (and a copy of the cd when they're made) plus other upcoming exclusives - not to mention the fuzzy feeling you'd get inside for helping a new band make their first official album! If this song is any indication I doubt they'll be asking for funding when it comes time to make album number two - they could make it quite big in indie (and possibly even pop) circles!

This is the first single from the forthcoming album called 'Better Off Without You' - which tells the tale of a friend who you just can't handle anymore. I had one like this - who would call all the time to tell me about his problems in great detail - so I could comfort him - but he'd never ask anything about my life. I ended up just feeling like a psychiatrist - without the big pay cheque! The song reminds me a titch of some of Blondie's recordings - like a more pop/ less guitar version of 'Hanging On The Telephone'. This is 'Better Of Without You'... Enjoy!
And just for kicks here's Blondie's 'Hanging On The Telephone' from their 1978 release 'Parallel Lines'. The two songs aren't the same by any means - they just have a similar feel... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Hercules and Love Affair!
SummersRadio™ New Music! Hercules and Love Affair - 'My House' Hercules and Love Affair just released the video for their new single 'My House' online today! It's the first single from their second album called 'Blue Songs' which is due for release on the Moshi Moshi label on January 31st. It contains 11 tracks including another called 'Step Up' which features vocals from Bloc Party's Kele Okereke. The album features two new vocalists - one of which is Shaun Wright - who sings on this first single 'My House'. Apparently he was a fan of the band that got to meet Andy Butler - told him he could sing and that they should work together - and now he's a member of the band! If only life was always that easy... Enjoy!
