SummersRadio™ New Music! Ant Brooks - 'Skreamer' (Original Mix)
Ant Brooks has just released his new EP called 'Skreamer' this week! The Coventry, England artist/ producer's new EP features two tracks - the title track and a song called 'Kymo'. It's released on the 1605 Music Therapy label and it's currently available exclusively on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/#release/skreamer-ep/912839
'Skreamer' is a lively semi-disco house number that features some wickedly hypnotic keyboard bits that work their way in around the two minute mark. They sound a bit like the string sound one might hear in a slasher film - but altered - perhaps that's where the title comes from. Regardless this uplifting tune is guaranteed to liven up your weekend - this is 'Skreamer'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Classics + Rare Remix! The Primitives!
SummersRadio™ Classics + Rare Remix! The Primitives - 'Spacehead'/ 'Way Behind Me'/ 'You Are The Way' (Re-Ravishing Mix)/ 'Rattle My Cage'
After posting the new Belle & Sebastian cover of The Primitives 'Crash' (and subsequently the original version as well) yesterday I've been craving more of The Primitives ever since - so I thought I'd post some more of their finest tracks!
The band formed in Coventry England in 1985 and released three album's before breaking up in 1992. They were one of the great indie pop/ rock bands of the late 80's/ early 90's - and one of my favorite female fronted bands from that period - along with The Darling Buds and Voice Of The Beehive. After 17 years apart they reformed in 2009 for a series of live gigs and they released a new EP in 2011.
I'll feature one track from each of their three studio albums and one from their most recent EP. Although not released as a single this is a standout track from their debut album 'Lovely' which was released in 1988 - as it features some fine fuzzy guitars and the always lovely vocals of Tracy Cattell aka Tracy Tracy - this is 'Spacehead'... Enjoy!
'Way Behind Me' was the first single released from their second album 'Pure'... Enjoy!
'You Are The Way' was the first single released from their third album - 1991's 'Galore' - and was the only single to chart in the U.K. and sadly the band decided to call it quits in '92. This is a rare remix that was recorded in 1991 but never released due to a sample clearance issue - and it's only just surfaced on the world wide web for the first time this month!

As mentioned The Primitives reformed in 2009 and released their first new recording in two decades last year with their 'Never Kill A Secret' EP.
