SummersRadio™ New Music + Free Download! Paul Banks - 'The Base'/ Interpol - 'Not Even Jail'

Paul Banks - lead singer and guitarist for Interpol - has just released a new solo single online! 'The Base' is the first single from his forthcoming second solo album simply titled 'Banks'. 'Banks' is the follow up to his 2009 solo debut (released under the alias Julian Plenti) called 'Julian Plenti Is... Skyscraper'. His new album (sensibly released under his own name) will feature ten tracks and is released on October 22nd on Matador Records.

'The Base' ranks up there with some of Interpol's finest songs - although it has a noticeably different feel from their material - even his vocals sound different at times. The song features several tempo changes and it has an epic, almost progressive rock vibe to it - in a good way!
