SummersRadio™ New Music! The Kills - 'Pale Blue Eyes'
The Kills have just released a new four track EP for their latest single - to celebrate their 10th anniversary of making music - featuring three brand new classic cover songs! 'The Last Goodbye' EP features the title track and latest single (the fourth) released from last year's 'Blood Pressures' album - plus covers of The Velvet Underground's 'Pale Blue Eyes', Marilyn Monroe's 'One Silver Dollar', and Patsy Cline's 'Crazy'.

Alison Mosshart has a lovely voice, but she lacks the sheer raw emotion here inherent in Lou Reed's vocal performance. That's not to say I don't enjoy this one too - because I do - the guitar has a much bluesier feel here as well. The Kills have actually been performing this song live for several years - it's just, you know - it's The Velvet Underground! But it's a quality cover and certainly postworthy, so... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music/ Remixes! Death In Vegas - 'Medication' (Fearless Nightcrawler Mix)/ 'Your Loft My Acid' (Fearless Trans-House Mix)/ The Kills - 'Future Starts Slow' (Death In Vegas Remix) Death In Vegas have just released their new studio album (their fifth) this week!
We first featured their new single 'Your Loft My Acid' back in July - from their new album called 'Trans-Love Energies' which is out now on cd/ lp and download. There are two versions available on cd and download - the regular ten track album - and the 'Deluxe Version' which features bonus tracks, instrumental versions, and remixes - for a total of 20 tracks!
This is one of two remixes from the bonus disc by band member Richard Fearless - this is the 'Fearless Nightcrawler Mix' of 'Medication'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! The Kills!
SummersRadio™ New Music! The Kills - 'Satellite' As mentioned on one of my posts on Jan. 18th, The Kills release their new album (their third) called 'Blood Pressures' on April 4th. At the time there was no word yet on a single, but the first one has now surfaced online - it's called 'Satellite' and it's the second track on the album. It's a slower paced - almost reggae style - distorted guitar tune... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Concert News! The Kills! The Kills - 'Cheap and Cheerful' (SebastiAn Remix) Just announced - The Kills are coming to Vancouver on Sunday May 8th - playing at the Commodore! Presale tickets go on sale tomorrow morning with regular tickets going on sale Friday. The Kills are releasing their fourth studio album called 'Blood Pressures' on April 5th. They haven't released a new single yet so here's a great remix by France's SebastiAn of their single 'Cheap and Cheerful' from their 'Midnight Boom' album released in 2008... Enjoy!
