SummersRadio™ New Remix! Suuns - 'Minor Work' (Clouds Remix)

Suuns are releasing a new remix EP on Monday! 'Images du Futur Remixes' is the name of the Montreal band's EP, featuring remixes of two tracks from their second album 'Images du Futur' (plus one from their debut) which was released in March on the Secretly Canadian label. Tiga's Turbo Recordings is releasing the new five track remix EP on Oct. 28th.

                    

'Images du Futur Remixes' features one remix of 'Minor Work', three remixes of '2020' and a remix of 'Up Past The Nursery'. 'Minor Work' is remixed by Scotland's Clouds - and really who would be more suitable to remix Suuns than Clouds? The 'Clouds Remix' features massive drum sounds, hypnotic keyboards and a great spaced out breakdown around 3:40 in... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Music! Taken By Trees - 'Dreams'

It's been a warm summer day here in Vancouver and there's a fresh cool breeze drifting in off of English Bay as the sun sets - the perfect setting for a dreamy pop song! It reminds me of Hawaii actually. Taken By Trees is the solo project of Swedish singer Victoria Bergsman - and 'Dreams' is the first single from her forthcoming third album - you may recognize her vocals from Peter, Bjorn & John's indie hit 'Young Folks'.

The new album is called 'Other Worlds' - inspired by a trip to Hawaii - and is set for release on October 2nd on the Secretly Canadian label (which is actually American - based in Bloomington, Indiana). Secretly Canadian describes 'Dreams' as "... touches of dub are gently layered with synths and Victoria's voice, floating along with the bass line. The music reflects the natural beauty of the Hawaiian islands -- floating in a perfectly blue pond, a kind breeze coasting off the waves, abundant deep green foliage, sweet slices of pineapple and milky coconut, the delicate pink of a seashell curled like a baby's ear."
