EMA is releasing her new album called 'The Future's Void' in April! 'The Future's Void' will be Erika M. Anderson aka EMA's third full length and the follow up to 2011's 'Past Life Martyred Saints'. 'The Future's Void' will be released on April 7th (U.K. & Europe)/ 8th (North America) on the City Slang label. EMA has just announced dates for her upcoming tour that begins at SXSW in March and runs through to July - including a stop in Toronto at the Horseshoe Tavern on Tuesday May 6th. SummersRadio™ New Music! EMA featuring MzGorjis - 'Angelo' Portland based Erika M. Anderson and her band - aka EMA - have just released their latest single online - with a brand new b-side!

'Marked' has been officially released on itunes this week - as the latest single from her 'Past Life Martyred Saints' debut, which came out in May. The song will also be released as a 7" on November 21st. It's limted to 1,000 copies - with the first 200 being on clear vinyl - which you can pre-order here:

'Angelo' is the b-side and a new song - I remember hearing this at EMA's excellent Vancouver show last month - the strings particularly stood out nicely live. This recording features a guest verse from Oakland rapper MzGorjis and resembles some of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's more experimental material... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ Concert News! EMA!

SummersRadio™ Concert News! EMA - 'California'/ 'Milkman' Portland based Erika M. Anderson aka EMA released her first solo album - since disbanding her noise-folk band Gowns - in May. The album is called 'Past Life Martyred Saints' and is released on Berlin's Souterrain Transmissions label.

EMA is currently touring in support of 'Past Life Martyred Saints' - playing shows throughout Europe this month - and returning to North America in October. She'll be performing in Vancouver at the Biltmore Cabaret on October 8th (with Wild Beasts) - you can check out her full tour itinerary here:

EMA has cited Lou Reed as a major influence in her songwriting for 'Past Life Martyred Saints' - and you can hear elements of his signature spoken word delivery in her second single (and first video) 'California'. Musically speaking her sound is often both dark and alluring... Enjoy!
