Elias Mariano aka the E.M.B. Project has just released new remixes of two classic 80's songs online this week! The Brazilian producer has just remixed Falco's 1981/82 hit 'Der Kommissar' (which translates as 'The Commissioner') and INXS's 1987 hit 'Need You Tonight' from their 'Kick' album.

First we have his remix of Falco's original 'Der Kommissar' - which I've always found superior to the rather plain English cover version by After The Fire. I like the looped guitar in the sustained intro in this remix - especially when it kicks in around the 2:04 mark... Enjoy!
This is his new 'E.M.B. Project Edit Mix' of INXS's 'Need You Tonight' - I like the 'Come over here' vocal sample loop and the guitar effects in this one... Enjoy!

It's that time of year again - Valentine's Day - the day for lovers. And here I am, single again - for the like 100th year in a row - or so it feels. So single or not, this years 'Love Stinks 2! - A Valentine's Day Spectacular' shall be filled with fun, mystery and romance! So much so that we shall begin here on Valentine's Day Eve - with a BIG PACKAGE... of remixes! :)
Eurythmics classic 'Love Is A Stranger' makes some very accurate statements about love and the search for it - accompanied by a sublime hypnotic synthesized groove. But it wouldn't be SummersRadio™'s style to just post the original, so instead we shall feature a menage a trois of recent remixes (that includes two free downloads) and a very rare super extended remix of the original.
'Love Is A Stranger' was first released as a single in 1992 from their album 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)' - and it was re-released in the U.K. in 1991. Here are the lyrics to a few of my favorite verses in the song:
